Darkgalord Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 OGHs pushed the narrative that Gaga's music had aged horribly for year and years. In 2023, we can positively say without a doubt, that's not the case at all, it's the opposite. Stats, cultural impact, and the iconic factor attached to her discography is proof that her music has reached timeless status. Just to give an example : 8 1 2 2 3
Jon Snow Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Her classics and especially Born This Way album sound timeless. I adore her work from TFM, BTW and ARTPOP, they’ll be fresh for me forever 8
Schami66 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Eh. I think most of her discography is very of it's time. Especially the 2008-2013 albums. The music is good and I wouldn't say it aged bad or aged like wine. For me personally it's more of a throwback. 4 2
Schhh Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 She has a few hits from her early career that are obviously still remembered but most of her discography after 2010 does sound dated and is completely forgotten. Take a look at Rain On Me's abysmal streams. 8 1 5
Onyxmage Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) Not really. All her music sounds dated af minus BR. Edited August 14, 2023 by Onyxmage 2 1 3
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I definitely think a lot of her music sound like a product of it's time, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It still sounds good and always will 2

Johnny Jacobs Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Until 2011 i agree After that it aged like Boxed wine maybe 2 2

If the music is still pleasant to your ears despite having a distinct production from their specific time, then said music has aged good.
God_Donna Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I think it aged like milk. I do love a couple of songs from her first album tho. Like Like it rough and summer boy. The first album is really all that matters for me. 1
Cameltoe Chariot Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I mean... the rest of the world agrees so I dunno why you're wasting your time trying to convince a bunch of unemployed ATRL members 3
IBelonginYourArms Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 That is also proven by the fact that thanks to TikTok a some of Gaga's album tracks like Bloody Mary, Monster, Americano and Replay also garnered recognition from the GP

We need to remind them Gaga's achievements as well from time to time. Edited August 14, 2023 by Darkgalord 1
naval23 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 The run from Just Dance to The Edge of Glory is honestly flawless, multiple solo classics passing 1 billion streams from the 2000s so the GP is still playing them
greento Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 it sounds of its time but that doesnt mean it sounds dated. its still great music, but you can easily identify the era it was made definitely not a bad thing tho
Shaner69 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 I find her early music sounds extremely dated but it's still good. Her first few albums were a moment. 1

Music age great If the sound is still good no matter its time and production.
istan4badgalriri Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 BR & PF are classics so yeah Artpop didn’t age too well, The Fame has a couple dated songs but the rest of her discog aged pretty well 1 1 1
nostalgic Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way are the kind of albums that will be looked back on in 25 years or so as monumental contributions to the music industry and to pop culture in general. These are undeniable facts and I don't know why or how anyone could say otherwise. 5 1
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 The Fame Monster and Born This Way have aged like fine wine for the most part, especially the latter. The Fame did age but it's a super good album with classics so it doesn't really matter. ARTPOP aged right away, but I think Venus, G.U.Y, and maybe even the title track are aging great. They could still be released today.
Brooklyn Baby Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Her early hits, sure. The rest of her discography, no
