The song went through multiple hands. It was written by Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander (unconfirmed contributions from Gaga) and Gaga did a demo. Later reproduced and re-recorded it in preparation for AP album with DJ White Shadow, Dino Zisis and Nick Monson. When it was scrapped, the song was being shoped around and re-recorded by different people. Addison did the song with a "new" production and some reworked lyrics (which kinda suck because sweetie- if you took the known Gaga demo why switch the lyrics for lesser ones?)

She was on a smaller label and was getting panned. I think signing to a legit label and letting her music build a cult following was actually really smart.
