DeepEnd Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 (edited) Both Doja and Olivia had the biggest album of the pandemic that spawned #1 SMASHES, multiple billion streamed songs, and millions of tiktoks. They were everywhere and had huge hype going into their new eras. But with their new eras starting, it seems like they aren't getting anywhere near the success of their previous effort. While the first two singles from both of them debuted with decent #s, the streams quickly decline after the first day. And while this is happening, their mothers are currently smashing with Cruel Summer and Barbie World. Instead of Olivia becoming Gen Z's Taylor and Doja becoming Gen Z's Nicki, Gen Z seems to be skipping them and going to Taylor & Nicki instead. Why is this happening? Did Olivia and Doja already reach their peak? Edited August 13, 2023 by DeepEnd 10
Devin Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 You make it sound like they can’t even enter BBH100 lol. Not everything they drop will be an instant smash, they still doing fairly well for themselves tbh 5 1

Taylor fanboy Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Gen Z don’t have money yet. And those who do, they were the ones who grew up with Taylor & Nicki’s domineering years.
Luckitty Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Olivia just got a SOLO #1 hit without needing to collab with a popular artist or sell jockstraps 2 11
Mattyboy Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 (edited) Olivia and Doja are both doing amazing, but according to atrl user @DeepEnd they both need constant #1 hits every time they release something Edited August 13, 2023 by Mattyboy
TalkThatRihanna Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Doja should’ve kept the Planet Her sound, Olivia should’ve changed her sound from SOUR 1
Rev8 Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 I guess u haven't been tracking the recent situation of Doja

Did Olivia and Doja already reach their peak? Girl you check for a Olivia more than her fans. You’re embarrassing yourself. Especially with that avi OT: Olivia’s number one smash vampire is currently on pace to rise in her 7th week in the top 10. Her second single is predicted to debut top 10 and is currently sitting pretty at #1 on US Spotify. Try harder now Doja is a different story. 1

Peak Now Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Not all the threads about Olivia's purported floppery when the album isn't even out yet and isn't PTTR doing fine?
PerfectSacrifice Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Olivia is doing fine. Doja did bomb tho
Raptus Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Worry about your big pharma queen...her music career looks pretty dead/over 1

Its like a diversity flex, she kinda been following the same sound from Amala to PH.

Gladiator Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 (edited) The expectations users have over Olivia exceeding success beyond anything from Sour and anything under that is considered a flop is absolutely unreasonable and unhinged, especially since she is still succeeding lol. thatsmydemi Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Olivia is literally smashing. Y'alls obsession with wanting to see this girl failing is becoming weird. Did Taylor or Nicki replicate the exact same success with each era? No. Why would Olivia or Doja?

Jooj Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 I dont even like Olivia but didnt she get a #1 song thats still in the top 10? Plus her other song is doing great on Spotify, its literally #1 in the US How good is she supposed to perform in order to not be called a flop lol
