Being straightforward in your lyrics doesn’t mean said lyrics aren’t “meaningful” or “elevated”. 
 

Anyway, Taylor Swift is great song-writer objectively speaking. 
 

Furthermore, I like some of Britney Spears, but Taylor clears this ( like everyone knew ).
