discussion Better filmography: Wes Anderson or Paul Thomas Anderson?

I chose 5 of their best known movies in the poll but even if you've only seen one of each, you pretty much already get their style of both pretty easily. Whose films do you prefer?

Wes is style over substance and I find the way he writes characters extremely irritating. Outside of GBH, I really don’t care for any of his films.

 

Paul has made masterpieces.

PTA by miles but i doubt atrl has watched all his movies like the other One, cause he used less famous actors.

wes' aesthetic and style is obviously insanely iconic and influential but he lacks substance and versatility. he stopped evolving a long time ago and just relies on the same set of tricks over and over, a tim burton tea. pta easily wins on phantom thread and the master alone, though he really has no duds (except maybe inherent vice).
