Except it already was used against her here all the time before that...?

I promise you, I had never seen it. It was a very Streisand Effect situation.

Sure, that's why she was compared to Taylor/Lorde during SOUR I guess, identity & artistic risks :dies: Not sure how she is taking "risks" when she's basically following the SOUR route for her sophomore album :skull:

You seem upset.

I mean, maybe you personally didn't see it, but I saw it dozens of time before :rip: It's a common occurrence and nothing new, it's actually getting tired at this point

OT: Not sure why this is still open, but kii @ the OP talking about music acclaim as if Taylor doesn't have one of the most acclaimed catalogue in the industry :dies:

Sure, don't worry, we know mods have no problem when it comes to Taylor troll threads/OTH being free to constantly disrespect, attack her and troll her threads :cm:

Olivia is just more interesting and seems genuinely interested in making music and not pumping out a McDonalds-style line of products. She's the real thing and a superior artist and it's impressive given how young she is.

All the posturing in here pretending an “oops I slept with my ex :oh:“ song with a guitar is the deepest thing ever and signifies ~true character~ and ~real personality~ is… really something else! Pitchfork really did a number on some of you, didn’t they?

I mean it isn't like Maroon (my fave from that album) is the heights of poetic artistry. It's yet another song about some failed romance. Let's not.

Correct! Expert analysis! But why does one apparently represent the paragon of artistic integrity while the other is “bland?” I’m not seeing what makes Olivia’s music, even this song, so profound and full of character that we can’t just let Olivia do her thing and Taylor do hers. This entire thread feels pulled out of thin air.

Yeah I agree. I wouldn't call Taylor bland.

Maybe calculated. (but she would probably admit to that herself)

I was the one who shut down that thread when the Swifties complained! Like, you all police the hell in this forum and bully people who don’t agree with your opinions. Stop acting like victims.

Yet we always see the same members trolling on purpose with no consequences but nevermind.

This thread is obvious provocation, not an opinion as there is absolutely no reason to call Taylor "bland" over Olivia who was deeply inspired by her. There is a difference between stating an opinion and trolling to intentionally annoy people.

According to whom? There are warning points and bans, just like with any other troll. Every stan base feels so persecuted, yet any we've ever suggested cracking down on the rules and having less wiggle room, the members revolt.

And now Olivia Rodrigo, who's next on the list? Which artist will OTHs hide behind to come for Taylor for the 1989 time? :priceless: Luke Combs or Morgan Wallen:ahh:?

Vampire is a #1 hit that has never left the top 10 and is rising on the charts a month after release.  Define underperforming.

Streams are already on par with smaller hits that have been on the charts much much longer, and it was in a very close race to even go #1 against a song that’s been there for almost the entire year, this is coming off one of the biggest eras of the decade

This is what I call underperforming
