BuzzCharts Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 These threads are always dumb but I love seeing @Post Malone and billie stans go back and forth so it makes it worth it

KatyPrismSpirit Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 taylor doesn’t want to experiment and tends to play it safe because she doesn’t want to annihilate her fandom. I mean… with a 16 year long career “…Ready For It” remains her most “experimental” song. 6 5

idontdodrags Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Taylor is that bland because of her white privilege, which Olivia doesn’t have

Olivia is a better singer than Taylor.. she has VOCALS. period if only you could tell it was her singing :/ lack of vocal identity will end up working against her

LOTF Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 I did prefer Vampire over Taylor's entire discography Olivia's first album singles sucked though
Beyonnaise Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 I actually find Olivia quite lacking in the personality department. Like imagine someone like Avril on Bad Idea Right, it would feel way more believable because she actually has spunk and character. It just feels like Olivia is trying to emulate a Hot Topic worker from 2005, and falling short 3 2

Taylor isnt experimental and that is just the objective truth.
Bubble Tea Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 The reports on the OP. Swifties you don't need to be so insecure. Taylor has to appeal to the masses and be as safe and consumable as possible. Olivia is a fresh, young pop princess able to take artistic risks, steer her career into exciting places and not only focus on making money. Olivia is an awesome star to watch rise. 1 1 1

How ironic of you with Katy as your avi Not only she took a RISK when she decided to drop her faithful country audience while she was selling millions of albums and while the pop audience is known as volatile, but if folklore & evermore were "safe" to you, then you just need to go troll somewhere else

Olivia's entire personality for the first year and a half of her career revolved almost solely/predominantly around being a fan of Taylor Swift. Not sure where you're going with this one. 1 hour ago, supaspaz said: It does kill me how the Swifties complaining about that random McDonald’s of Pop thread cemented it as a new nickname for Taylor. Sure, that's why she was compared to Taylor/Lorde during SOUR I guess, identity & artistic risks Not sure how she is taking "risks" when she's basically following the SOUR route for her sophomore album
