CameraFlashes Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 since when she released her KP4 album tho
XAMJ Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 well at least we know she is flopping for a 3rd time 4 4
WitnessOblivia Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Right..ready for another disappointment.
Sheep Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 For all the talk she has done about growing and moving on from caring about what the public thinks about her, this is something she would have said after Rise or Witness flopped. Cats know how bad it was for her mental health, I really hope she's doing okay. 1
Nashe Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Praying to the heavens above that the upcoming music will be great again. I loved her during both Witness and Smile even though the material and visuals weren't her greatest.
Headlock Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Isn’t the phrase that we wouldn’t deserve her at her KP6 era
magazine Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Well, it's gonna sell less than those two, so maybe she made a point
Club classic Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 might be controversial but I think she has a good voice and should do and entire genre shift and try something in the vibe of Tame Impala or something. she won't get chart success anyway so might as well try to aim for some critical success. or she could do another concept album like TD but I don't think generic pop will take her anywhere and she'll just get panned and flop again. 4
Right Now Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 That is quite the statement. I loved Witness but Smile was a bit tepid for me.

She did Tame Impala tea on Wtiness though - Tsunami 1
shark_heather Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 My God , what a way to kill completely the almost non existing hype she had
znake Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 I loved all eras so all good Give us Kp6 lead on time of VMAS legend !!

If I were her, I would consider releasing another double album or perhaps a double project. For Side A or Volume 1: Katy would showcase her full artistic vision and experimentation. This approach could earn her respect from both the general public and critics. For Side B or Volume 2: Katy would focus on delivering hit songs and commercial tracks. It could be reminiscent of her Teenage Dream era, but with a sexier and less cutesy vibe. Releasing singles from both projects simultaneously could help her gain acclaim and achieve high chart rankings. Additionally, collaborating with prominent artists for features could also contribute to her success.
