You're exactly right. Some days, as crazy as it sounds, i would gladly exchange some of Taylor's commercial success for a stanbase that doesn't have meltdowns over some artwork and song titles

Yeah and like I’m not saying people have to like the cover, I like it but I can see why some might not. Still though, people always make up things to nitpick at instead of just simply saying they don’t like it. In this case saying it’s folklore-ified which is so not true

Exactly. The CONSTANT nitpicking over small stuff is driving me crazy 

The problem is not so much people not liking the cover, it's the way some people act as if it's the ugliest thing ever made. I've seen some similar reactions on Popjustice and it's just so... weird. Literally any other fanbase wouldn't care that much about it, especially if their fave was dominating the world the way Taylor is right now.
