Yeah, there are a ton of different things that people only really care to take issue with when it’s Taylor. I get that she’s a lightning rod for opinions and all, but like, she’s just doing it the way all the other girls do it, most of the time.

160k standard (blue) vinyls sold so far. And the yellow vinyls ended with 120-150k sold most likely.

 

We could be at 300k vinyls sold already, Midnights debuted with 575k...

I just realized……. if they have a similar amount of vinyls in stock for the pink and green variants, she could break Midnights’ vinyl debut record with just the preorders

 

Even if we lowball every variant, it would still put her over 500k vinyls just from the preorders, assuming we obviously get those two variants. And they’ll obviously sell out. Plus not considering possible variants for other retailers

Usually the first variant sells more than the second and the second more than the third. Also some people might want just one vinyl and they cancel a previous order when there is a new version they like more. Either way, even if the next one sells 90k and the last one 60k that would put the vinyl pre-sales at 430-460k. This is without counting a very possible Target version and the whole first week of sales. So beating Midnights' record seems likely.

True but the pink CD sold out fast so the vinyl might sell fast as well.

Every fanbase has those types that buy everything, it doesn’t mean everyone’s like that. If they were, she wouldn’t have such big streaming numbers.

I only bought the yellow vinyl since I actually listen to them and it was such a nice looking color but I’m not planning on buying any more than 1, I never have. (unless a signed one gets released, those are cool collectibles i don’t open)

This is the part that OTHs constantly want you to forget about. This whole "Taylor only have her core fanbase buying her albums over and over" doesn't make any sense when you look at Spotify and her streaming numbers (especially the numbers of unique listeners she gets every day).

 

Taylor has a massive fanbase yes, but the GP listen to her massively as well, which is why she's the biggest star in the world right now. You can't have massive hits like Anti-Hero and Cruel Summer with only your fanbase, that's not how it works.

i kinda wish the sunset viny whatever was the main cover. It keeps the mysterious vibe of the scooter version. I cant wait for those 5 vault tracks fingers crossed there is another Blank Space and Style in there. Those are my favs always was and always will be.

They’re usually pretty accurate. There’s no reason to think they’re too far off this time.

We have used the same tracking method for Midnights, Lover heart-shaped vinyl and Speak Now TV and it has always been accurate. The only question mark is the yellow vinyl variant as they messed up with the stock and later deleted the stock-tracking feature. So it's 460k "guaranteed" plus the yellow variant.
