I’m fairly certain the vinyl records shown in the Midnights photo shoot are either stock art or specifically commissioned fake album covers to avoid copyright infringement while still evoking certain styles. In the highest resolution version of the jade green edition album cover - the photo in that TikTok - you can discern what appears to be a treble clef within the blue label on the record in question. That’s not a symbol that’s present on the 1989 TV label. The album cover isn’t one that actually exists anywhere that I could find, and if anything, it was likely designed to evoke Labyrinth. Idk it really looks like part of the bird and the color is the exact the shade of blue

You can see here that it’s a black treble clef, not part of the bird:

Also it’s black while the bird’s shadowed areas are blue, and clouds are visible where there are none on the 1989 label.

I can't track her webstore anymore. Some smart fans who know how to read code can still do it, but the "simple" mode to do it was deleted yesterday. I guess it must be more than 600k if you count digital copies, but those are impossible to track so you can just say numbers without proof.

Well, obviously it's impossible to sell 27k in half an hour so they definitely retired the stock to send it to retailers, international markets... It's not the first time they do this.

so can anyone explain this to me? how many copies of each varient did they release and will they restock or is this like only a temporary thing? the demand is so high that I feel like they could continue selling endlessly

If you are talking about vinyls they already released the standard one (blue) and the yellow one. The yellow one is available for 17 more hours and then they will release the red one and the green one. I assume that all of them will be available later on, at least on release week, but we don't know that.
