Cruel Summer Posted November 4, 2023 Share Posted November 4, 2023 I don't think Is It Over Now? will get another week at #1 immediately, but I think it's a reasonably strong contender for January/February. It has time to grow on radio before Christmas songs dominate for a while, then it can peak at radio early next year once they're all gone and Cruel Summer has died down. A little sprinkle of promotion and some luck with it catching on with the GP on streaming services and you have a neat little hit on your hands, maybe one that can muster a few weeks at #1. If there's any truth to the rumor about a live album for the Eras Tour, then she also has a good reason to keep the song alive, and she can perform it at one of the upcoming dates to put the live version out as a digital single to hype the live album and promote 1989 TV. I am just assuming the entirety of '1989 (TV)' made the top 40, unless 'Anti-Hero' kicked out 'You Are In Love'! Of course only 3 songs charted cause of the rule, but we know the real story...
