Taylor Swift - '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

I sat and listened to the entire thing tonight whilst I was finishing up an art commission and I loved it just as much as I did back when it first came out in 2014. I haven’t listened to the OG songs in a while so I’m not sure if these new mixes are superior or not, but I did catch myself thinking during certain songs that the vocals sounded better than I remembered.

I was most nervous about Shake It Off, as even though that gets a lot of hate here, it’s one of my favourite Taylor songs for sentimental reasons and I was more than happy with the new mix. They managed to capture the essence of the original so well.

The vault tracks were a lot more mellow than I was expecting, but I enjoyed them all. Slay Don’t Go is my current favourite.

Lol, Taylor Nation being dramatic. Biggest debut of her career confirmed.

Oh if they’re tweeting she wants it, and I LOVE that :jonnycat:

Crazy how spotify refuses to let her have 3 songs on TTH. Even Adele did for months during the 30 era

If she’s streaming #IsItOverNow? (Taylor’s Version) on @Spotify ’s Today’s Top Hits playlist,

I will surmise that you’ll probably date her. #1989TaylorsVersion

“Is It Over Now?” was the #1 most-added song at US Pop Radio this week, being playlisted by 83 stations upon impact.

Right? They know know, like the fact that there's a chance Taylor actually knows about HDD and their constant under-predictions has me shook :deadbanana2:

They updated TTH randomly on a Tuesday? :dies:

6M+ without pre-release activity

900k + 370k = 1.270M

So either the BB numbers include a part of preorders (it doesn't make sense) or we are missing something :skull:

Or it could just simply be that she had way less preorders, which was my point. Random Twitter accounts started claiming they could track the orders and everyone just went with whatever they said

Wow I truly can't believe 1989 TV is predicted to overtake Midnights as the biggest debut of the decade without any signed copies :chick1:

The tracking was real. As someone previously said, we knew 540k preorders were real. Then, they were only predictions but this "blurry" part includes 2 new vinyl variants, the tracklist reveal boost, the poster CDs, the return of the polaroid CDs etc., so 800k was a given, especially without digitals.

They better get a FAT bonus for these tweets, there’s no better way to drive sales than to challenge Swifties :gaycat5:

The way TS11 could really come for a 2M debut if she goes all out for it… :psyduck:

You know, I complain far less than most of you all, but the fact we never got signed copies of Speak Now TV will forever bother me. :deadbanana2:

If we do get signed copies of 1989 TV, that will mean I have both Folklore and 1989 TV signed, but not one for the other member of my trinity. :biblio:

I feel like if they tweeting this, they already know she has it in the bag and just want more hype. I don't think her team would publicly agree to a challenge if there was a chance they'd fail.

I have to admit I feel like a clown now for once believing that Red would be the peak of the rerecordings and only ATW10 would go #1 among vault tracks :gaycatx: granted nobody could really have predicted Midnights and the Eras Tour but still, another lesson in never counting her out
