800k was the lowest number possible though, in particular since there were no digitals included. 800 + 370 = 1170, which means she'd sell 30k in 4 days. I don't really buy the limitation thing but who knows?

It’s always been a little unclear to me exactly how Billboard applies its limits anyway. Better not to stress about that side of things - it’s probably case-by-case anyway, like when the chart was delayed for ages because Levitating got audited or whatever.

oh wow it's doing better than midnights? :rip:

they better shove snakes for Rep TV and butterflies for Debut TV down our throats like they did with seagulls for 1989tv

i think that would be cute :ryan3:

I really need there to be a re-recordings documentary.

I wanna know if Midnights came first or 1989 TV. There has to be some type of overlap with the sound of the vault tracks + Question.

Yes but it's losing steam in the last 3 days compare to Midnights (better streaming staying power) so It will finish around 185-190K.

The gap is closing (which makes sense since it's a TV).

It's so frustrating though, I want to fully understand what's happening :skull:

Oh I totally understand that feeling. That’s why I was anxious about the whole thing anyway - Billboard always publishes a “first day” that includes preorders, so why did they just not, this time? Same reason I get a little frustrated about how Luminate data is treated like some kind of industry secret. Individuals have a very hard time getting any access to it even as artists, then they copyright the data itself and make it impossible for fans and chart hobbyists to have real transparency into what’s going on.

now imagine the numbers if she had signed at least 100-150K copies :clap3:

How can you sign 150k copies ?

Or di you mean even not personally handwritten?

Her vocal delivery on Wonderland is so good, and she even managed to make the dated production sound less dated :clap3:

Why am I obsessed with WTNY? :jonny:it used to do nothing for me.

So far, yes! They will potentially also update their article later today, if they’re doing it daily.

I was thinking that for the past couple of days but for some reason everyone thought 550k was too high :gaycatx:

I know BB has never done this but Taylor is the only traffic they get, it would be smart to just release daily numbers and hold the final numbers until their chart comes out, HDD is extremely reliable so I don't see anything too out of the ordinary with it but idk

Finally gave this a listen and i'll stick with the original 1989 album. I don't know if it's related to the fact that it was the first Taylor album i properly listened so i prefer those arrangements. But great to see the success of this TV.

UHG where's that unhinged post about Britney's guttural vocal delivery and the atrl division between old modneys and new pop stans of ariana grande when you need it?:ryan3:

1. Never said the entire album was garbage
2. Never said I was bullied either

Do you have anything else to do other than berate people for expressing an opinion that is different from you? You seem to constantly have issues with people who say even the slightest negative comments/opinions on the album. Not everything has to be positive.

Also just @ me next time lol :alexz2:

That was my first time commenting about the click, and I only did because it was being discussed in here :skull:

I'm literally trying so hard to find this clicking but I hear nothing :ryan3:everything sounds the exact same to me.

Oh I wish I hadn’t heard it because girl… :ryan3:

BUT like I said, I definitely don’t hear the buzzing/clicking throughout the whole album like audiophiles have claimed. I don’t use high end headphones or anything, so maybe that’s it. Or I just can’t hear the frequencies they’re talking about. Like, I believe them, because these glitches can and do happen with music releases (see their Lana example)… but it’s just as well I don’t hear anything besides that one :rip: cause I’d be damned if my enjoyment was hindered by some clicking noises

I was surprised to see the mixed reception for this one... and then I wasn't.

Further proof of a deep generational chasm that divides ATRL into two camps; the twentysomething pop sophisticates with 15 to 20 years of top-shelf pop consumption to their name, and an unruly kid crew with Scream Queens avatars and tributes to Joe Alwyn in their signatures. It's not that the latter generation is a lost cause entirely, but they've clearly never heard a "Taylor" — that is, they've never encountered a voice quite as distinctive as Taylor's. "But I know Taylor! Lover was the first album I bought!" First off, ask for a refund. And no, you don't know Taylor, you know a very stilted and subdued version of the iconic performer.

The Taylor of "Wonderland" is Taylor as Taylor is intended to sound. She very skillfully vacillates between a range of tones; she nasally, then guttural, then grainy, then nasally again, then delicate. (And yes, that's how she's supposed to do it.) She's sultry. She's goofy. She's sounds slightly absurd. She's fully engaged. She's expressive in ways that "technically superior" vocalists just aren't. She is brilliant. You have no idea how brilliant she is.

This is the probably purest attempt Taylor has made to harness some of that ineffable charm that made her early work so irresistible. I adore it

I actually don’t mind the Billboard move if it’s just them reporting week-of only while still inside the tracking week, I just wish they’d actually say “this doesn’t include preorders from her web store” or something. Telling us how it’s actually doing day-to-day without preorders heavily skewing that first day gives us a way better idea of how it’s holding up, how much longevity it has, etc.

Pay attention to the 2nd verse, it's actually annoying :skull:

It sounds like that popping candy rocks in your mouth. 2nd verse only

Also, yeah the mixing issues people have (and yes I’ve had some issues with it myself on various TVs) is just a difference in equipment and industry standards. Vocals tend to be more forward in the mix these days than 10 years ago, so that’s why it sounds different. Some people like it and some don’t… it just depends on the song as well.

Jack Antonoffussy and Taylor really put the entirety of their combined Gold Rushussy into IION :gaygacat5:

And did you think I didn't see you?
There were flashin' lights
At least I had the decency
To keep my nights out of sight
Only rumors 'bout my hips and thighs
And my whispered sighs

the more I listen, the more I start to convince myself that those tiny imperfections are giving the songs "character" :ryan3:
