She is now expected to have 7-9 tracks in the top 10, with Is It Over Now sitting pretty at #1 with over 250 points.

MTE. I mean the second verse & pre-chorus are lowkey her career highlight but the song itself is just great. (I mean she has so many great songs and they don't become a smash)

Obviously Harry drama doing wonders rn but still it's really impressive

I also at first thought the Harry drama was what making it perform better than the other songs, but the update we got today shows clear sign of longevity and real interest.

Yeah Jack is eating good.

I wonder how rich he's become solely from his collaboration with Taylor. He is (or will be) pretty much all over her discography. He really chose the right songwriting soulmate.

The jump that Midnights had... really, legendary, I can't see that happening sometimes soon again.

Here is my rough estimate.

For physical sales, by law, songwriters get 9.1  cents for each song of theirs included on album divided up between said songwriters  (eg 4.505 cents for Taylor and 4.505 cents for Jack for songs they both write on. So Jack has about 50% of the song writer's credit on midnights. I think Midnights has sold at least 2 million physical but don't quote me on that. So around 900K from that.

In addition, songwriters get 15.5% of the streaming revenue for the song.  I believe a billion spotify streams is worth around 4 million dollars. Midnight hit 7 Billion. So an approximate revenue of 28 million. Songwriting royalties for that would be around 4 million and then Jack would get about half of that since he and taylor spilt credits on most songs, so around 2 million.

Same splits also apply to Max Martin and Shellback for 1989 TV. So they are making a tidy sum regardless of whether they helped produce it which helps explains why they wouldn't . Its more lucrative to create new hits songs that you can writing credits on rather than producing rerecords where you already have writing credits.

Antonoff definitely asks less than Martin when It's about royalties percentage.

But if he continues to produce big songs for her at this rate probably this could change.

Also there are songs that antonoff produced without taking writing credits (lover for example).

Max Martin always asks for writing credits. I  have no doubt this is a some kind of pre contract agreement so if you want him he's also taking the songwriting credits even if he makes for some song only the production work.
