Taylor Swift - '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

The discrepancy between HDD and Billboard is definitely intriguing. I don't see how HDD could be so off, but I also don't know why Billboard wouldn't be counting the pre-orders.

I'm not mad at this. I'd rather have Red TV be her most acclaimed album. :ryan3:

It looks like (from what I can see by searching up tweets) the albums were combined around 4 am on the 22nd and then at almost 1 am on the 23rd they combined the songs. So roughly 25 hours after the 3 am version dropped the albums were combined and then roughly 20 hours after that the songs were combined.

Only tweet I can find about 1099 bring combined was 4:45 PM. So hopefully by noon est time they'll be combined? Or a bit earlier depending on the time they actually combined. If we go by this logic I mean. :matty:

Not me getting banned for two days for "trolling" because of this comment. When I tell you these mods are biased as hell :khalyan:.

Mind you, this comment was aimed at members calling swifties racist, white supremacists, KKK members, Nazis, calling Asians white worshippers (And the majority of the members doing this are white Europeans might I add, because they share their pictures on the roof then they come and troll and get no warnings for it) and continuing to do so without any consequences.

When I complained about this in hq, the mods themselves told me that swifties being called all of that is just a joke and not that serious and I should learn to take a joke. So my very mild comment is worthy of warning points and getting banned because apparently it's not a "joke", but calling people Nazis, KKK members, white supremacists, racist... Is just a "joke".

F.U.C.K these mods honestly...

And I'm doing this here cause you're not supposed to complain about warning points in HQ, what a joke :khalyan:

they did the same to me, over literally nothing and more than once and it's obvious whats going on but apparently some are immune to following rules and yea we can't complain about it either or it's another one

Billboard is official. Pre-orders numbers were highly overestimated. It's looking for a nice 800k debut.

Yeah I was banned for 2 days too just for answering the question OP asked in another thread.

nothing is happening :rip: and it's 370k  in 3 days and it DOES NOT INCLUDE PRE ORDERS. Its been established over and over that the number is just sales/streams from release day to now.

I guess I don't see it explicitly stated anywhere that the number "is just sales/streams from release day to now," as you stated. I don't think it is unreasonable for some of us to be confused when BB has never reported sales numbers in this manner before.

The way S!ut would've been an easy #1 but she decided to make it a lullaby :rip:

Hopefully IION can pick up the slack!

I know Tay intends to make Slvt a vulnerable moment for her because of the context behind it and all, but she can be vulnerable while making the song a bop.. she has already done it in the same album (i.e., AYHTDWS), so I don't get why Slvt can't get that same treatment!

The production on this is frankly terrible and her vocals on loud tracks ex. Bad Blood, Blank Space are awful.

The quieter, less heavy songs like Clean, This Love, You Are in Love, are all great and she sounds great on them.

I forgot how much I liked All You Had To Do Was Stay and How You Get the Girl...

Also Diane Warren never misses.

The way swifties were complaining about the vault "sounding like Midnights" yet they're sending a song with a Midnights'd intro to number 1... The most tasteless stanbase to ever exist tbh :rogue:. Slvt! deserved.

I’m obsessed with Sloot as is. It’s such a gorgeous, slowly unfurling melody. It’s a genuinely rewarding listen.

As much as I’m enjoying the vault tracks, I do think they drive home the fact that her creative relationship with Jack has run its course. I hope she steps away from him or at least doesn’t work with him for an entire project again. The compositions are just getting too monotonous - she needs to be challenged. Give us the Blood Orange album we deserve, queen.

Slvt > Suburban Legends > Is it over now > Now That We Don't Talk > Say Don't Go

Say don't go has the same verse melody as electric touch, and it sounds the most like classic Taylor (a mixture of red/1989/speak now) so no wonder it's a favourite but it's the weakest of the bunch imo.

Slvt is an 80s dream pop masterpiece.

HYGTGTV is almost perfect if the vocal production and some of the synths didn't sound so cheap. :bibliahh:

The Little Slutsters are still fuming after getting overshadowed by Is It SOTY now? and Now That We Don't Need Payola

Say Don't Go and Is It Over Now are solid, but it's kinda crazy how every single Speak Now Vault track eats up every single 1989 Vault track :jonny5:

wait, I'm late for the news.

Is 800k the new first week prediction? I thought it's going to beat the OG version's first week.

It's unclear whether preorders are much lower than expected, shipping is slow, or whether Billboard is changing the way they write their chart preview articles. We should wait until the next hits daily predictions.

No one knows. HDD and Billboard are painting two very different pictures.

Imagine if She is trying to delay some of the shipments so the second week drop doesn't look big. :bibliahh:
