Hopefully it can crack 200K like Midnights, my only worry is it being more frontloaded since it’s a re-recording :dancehall:

I hope it'll have longevity but it's no big deal if it doesn't, a re-recording is not the same thing as a full on new album after all.

Yeah, I think it’ll have great longevity overall. Just in terms of the first week it’s likely the monstrous sales will be a bit more frontloaded than they were for Midnights, which of course is understandable. Still hope it can crack 200K though :jonny:

I think it can crack 200K pretty easily. We'll see

There's no way she'll release another album this year and definitely not a lowkey one

We know Taylor would love to break Adele's '25' first week sales record. If Taylor gets everything right with the release of the next album, she could do it

If you all think she's releasing another new album–let alone an all new one and not a Taylor's Version–this year, you're delusional.

Debut TV coming out on 25th Oct 2024 would feel full circle. 18 years and grown up!

I could see her releasing it on her birthday, December 13, 2024, which *is* a Friday…

Well if that 112 days theory is true we'll get rep (TV) on February 16th, first day of the australian dates :gaycat4: And then Mixtape (TV) on June 7th, first date in the UK :gaycat4:
So far we got: March 17th start of tour -> 112 days later -> SN (TV) on July 7th -> 112 days later -> 1989 (TV) on October 27th :gaycat4:

I get what you're saying but I think that's somehow the case only for Puta! and Suburban Leghands, meanwhile the other songs have the explosive choruses that 1989 is known for

Yeah, but I think they are not explosive enough. But Say Don't Go should be 1989 TV's single.

Do we know if there’s any significance to the number 112 itself in this theory? Like is it just 1+12=13? :gaycatx:

Its been a while since i watched the videos for the theory, but i dont think the 112 itself has any significance :gaycat4:
I'm sure you will find something on tiktok if you search for the 112 days theory but there are A LOT of coincidences :gaycat4:

Also remember the Midnights Mayhems with ME! videos? She held the phone weirdly in episodes 2, 6, 7 and 10.. exactly the months shes rumored to drop the TVs in if she follows the 112 days cycle (July= SN, October = 1989, February = rep, June = mixtape)

I want to preface this by saying I think Say Don’t Go is a great song. Genuinely a great song.

With that, I think it’s my least favorite from the vault (which isn’t saying much because I enjoy each song.) Something about the chorus just doesn’t hit the way I want it to. The verses, pre-chorus, and post-chorus are immaculate but that chorus… I don’t know.

Side note: Suburban Legends is already underrated, however, it does need to be longer. Imagine if it went straight into a final chorus where Taylor doubled the octave :wanda:ugh and Now That We Don’t Talk is begging for another chorus as well, they are just so freaking good!

nnn right? :hoetenks: Usually i dont believe in these theories but so far everything lines up and makes sense.
I guess we'll see on February 16th. I could see her announce rep (TV) on the last day of the South America dates (Nov 26) or on her birthday Dec 13 :gaycat4:

Do we think the rep vault tracks will be unreal?

Posted

I think I finally know why a lot of ppl think the 1989 TV tracks are not "true vault tracks". I think it's because she's singing these songs using her lower register A LOT whereas her voice in 1989 original was really lighter and very girly due to age but also because she wasnt tapping into her lower register as much at that point! I bet if she sang them with a lighter tone it would heavily help make it sound cohesive to the original albums sound!
