Ajay has no idea who produces Taylor songs and has no idea about her lore etc and she was also saying that the songs dont fit 1989 and sound Melodrama'd :swan: (same on reddit, twitter)
So its not just obsessed Jack Haters on ATRL saying it
Idk why so many people get upset at this.. the vault does sound more like Midnights.. and yes we know its produced by Jack. But again Jack also produced OOTW/IWYW and those sound NOTHING like Midnights

Yep, even Ajay was not convinced that vault sounds like 1989 songs. The first 16 tracks sound completely different from the last 5 tracks. It's painfully obvious, yet swifties will gang up on you if you tell the truth. :bird:

Time to push IION :WAP: Drop the single version [Explicit] where she says “******* traitor” instead of “lying traitor”

So don't get mad if people express their disappointment and/or want Taylor to work with a different pop producer :gaycat5:

Well good for the ppl that like Midnights, personally i just expected the 1989 Vault tracks to well... sound more like 1989
And that doesnt even mean that she cant do some minor changes to the songs
For example on the Red vault you can immediately tell from the melodies alone that Forever Winter is from the Red era (the melody is SO Red coded), but Jack made some changes to the production (mainly the horns) which was fine because overall it still feels like a Red song

Really hope some demos from the vault tracks leak soon :swan:

That said even if i wish the vault sounded more like 1989, the songs itself have grown on me :clap3:
Especially Is It A #1 Smash Now:clap3:
The only one i will probably never touch again is Suburban Mastermind :suburban:

The Vault tracks sound WAY more 80s than any Midnights tracks. You guys need to be serious :rip:

The separate post she made for STF :weeps:

Is It Over Now? and "Slvt!" are the hands-down best 1989 vault tracks. :1stplace:
I like Suburban Legends too even if it sounds like Mastermind. Say Don't Go is too long and Now That We Don't Talk is too short. 1 minute should've been cut from SDG and given to NTWDT for an explosive final chorus.

Also, the tangerine vinyl really fits the whole aesthetic + album. At first I was purchasing it solely for STF, but it really does look so good. :clap3:

Nah, the awkward f-bombs are very Olivia’d and feel forced

I really struggle to find redeeming qualities in that song. Lyrics, melody and production are all pretty much beyond saving

Cornelia Street, False God, Afterglow, DBATC,... are much better

Damn sometimes I forget how many HIGHs Lover has. :WAP: Can’t believe Me! Ruined such a perfect album.

I actually agree with that. The way some people are always overpraising Max Martin is just WEIRD :rip:

Looking at album credits - all the standard tracks obviously have the same writers Max Martin etc while acquiring new producers (Rowe). But none of the vault tracks have Max Martin, Shellback, Ryan etc as writers. Instead we have Jack as a co-writer and co-producer for most part. So for the vault she only unearthed tracks that she either wrote with Jack back then (minus the Diane song) or wrote herself and that Jack helped finish for the TV, hence acquiring a writing credit. Does this mean she used every song written with Max for the original and there were none in the vault, or that she simply decided not to use them for whatever potential disagreements they may have?

I’ll make sure to ask her next time I run into her. :celestial:

Yeah message in a bottle is really bad. But if max Martin would have produced It maybe could have been improved a little bit.
