Kyle-x Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 If they were making it sound like Midnights she would randomly have her voice pitched down and sound like a robot singing on at least one track sksk 1
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Out of the Woods (Taylor’s Version) is the best song ever created 2
NEX Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Looking at album credits - all the standard tracks obviously have the same writers Max Martin etc while acquiring new producers (Rowe). But none of the vault tracks have Max Martin, Shellback, Ryan etc as writers. Instead we have Jack as a co-writer and co-producer for most part. So for the vault she only unearthed tracks that she either wrote with Jack back then (minus the Diane song) or wrote herself and that Jack helped finish for the TV, hence acquiring a writing credit. Does this mean she used every song written with Max for the original and there were none in the vault, or that she simply decided not to use them for whatever potential disagreements they may have? 1

I guess the first option is most likely.
Diet Pepsi Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Now That We Don't Talk is the greatest song ever recorded, why?
PoisonPill Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 So many improvements from the original. She elevated WTNY from worst track to actually slapping. OOTW was always toward the top but now it’s god tier, that bridge
vale9001 Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) Vault tracks of 1989 TV sounds like jack antonoff songs on 1989. Just productions is more articolate. Of course for 1989 She was searching easier songs and easier productions cause She wanted her Katy Perry era 6 smash songs on radios. Even out of the Woods TV Is richest than OG, cause She feels She can do It now. Edited October 29, 2023 by vale9001

I would guess all of the Max sessions that developed into fully fleshed out songs made it to the album because she had no issue putting the Max reject Message In a Bottle on Red TV. It makes sense that the vault is mostly Jack songs because I'd guess there wouldn't be a lot of time constraints on their sessions together and they'd have more opportunities to play around in the studio whenever they could.

I think the latter. They defo have unreleased material in the vault. 1 has already confirmed for reputation called "Family". There is also 1 for Red which we all know is Message In A Bottle. That song was produced by Shellback and Elvira. Had Shellback come back to help re-record the Max tracks on 1989 TV, he probably would've also produced Max songs for the vault as well. 2 1

YR. Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Is it over now and Now that we don't talk clearly fit 1989 **** and Say Don't Go are good The only trash vault song is Suburban Waste After listening to them without the disappointment of **** not being uptempo, you can hear greatness there. Speak Now vault still my favorite. Foolish One and Timeless are both clsssic taylor for me 5 1

TaylenaStan Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) Ajay has no idea who produces Taylor songs and has no idea about her lore etc and she was also saying that the songs dont fit 1989 sonically and sound Melodrama'd (same on reddit, twitter) So its not just obsessed Jack Haters on ATRL saying it Idk why so many people get upset at this.. the vault does sound more like Midnights.. and yes we know its produced by Jack. But again Jack also produced OOTW/IWYW and those sound NOTHING like Midnights Edited October 29, 2023 by TaylenaStan 1 2 1
