No negativity please. 1989 is doing it

Oh I didn't mean that it would take the 3 albums to pass him, but it's a guarantee it will happen before the re-records era is done.

its percussion elements but it shouldn't have been so loud :rip:it's like they forgot to lower that in the the mixing or something

I've been listening to style and I love how she sings the "you said what you heard is true" part, her voice sounds SO much better than the OG its so idk smooth

Ah ok I see - oh well I guess that’s better than the case of the clicking noises being some sort of production mistake that they forgot to remove…

Unless I'm confused, her day-over-day hold on Apple Music is kind of amazing so far, right?

When listening with headphones, does anyone notice Blank Space TV is mixed kind of weird? In the right channel her vocals are much quieter and one of the instruments is super loud. If you focus on the sound coming into your right headphone you might notice it.  Is it just me? :deadbanana: When I’m at home and it’s quiet I can’t help but hyperfixate on it while listening.

I often think about how I just kind of lucked into the winning team. I love Taylor because of her music, and I have for basically 16 years now. But I imagine if back then I had fallen for Katy or something how miserable I’d be these days  :ahh:

Exact same thing for me :rip:

Most of the time i end up loving or hating pop stars purely based on vibes and i just lucked into "vibbing" with Taylor years ago. I still can't believe how lucky i am to have "clicked" with her, if i ended up hating her i'd be BEYOND miserable :toofunny3:

Finally got around to listen to this and the vault tracks are amazing! I enjoyed all five of them, with the standouts being Say Don’t Go and Is It Over? I love how they expand on the moody, atmospheric 80’s sound of the other Antonoff tracks like This Love and YAIL.

The re-recordings however… I use about half of them. The best is Clean, that song was already amazing but somehow they made it even better :jonny: The MM tracks were butchered once again. I’m sorry but Christopher Rowe just doesn’t hold a candle next to Max and his producing prowess. Truly a maestro of his craft.

why does the "tick tock on the clock" line live in my head rent free like this, like what did she put in that thing

Same here too - actually, all the other artists I've ever gotten really into are in the waning years of their career already or immediately flop so I constantly wonder if it's blondie's turn yet :)

I always tell my boyfriend how grateful I am that she's THIS successful, though. It means no shortage of people to talk to about my favorite music in the world, it means she'll keep making more and more music potentially for my whole life, and it means that other people are connecting with this experience, too. It's become quite humbling lately as she's made the leap into unprecedented, indescribable success.

If all those years ago I'd clung to other artists and just watched her soar while everything else I liked started to wither away, I don't know how I'd feel about her, honestly - but I also can't imagine a world in which I don't love her work. It's too much a part of my life at this point.

I don't really hear this, is there any time where you think it's noticeable?

I compared left and right and her vocals seem the same volume

it's holding very well :gaycat:
all the songs (except BB remix) would be in top 30 if they're combined (is it over now? at #1 though) :ryan3:

Apple Music needs to combine them NOW!

0:26 is when it first starts being really apparent for me. Hopefully it’s just an issue with my headphones then dd

holy sh*t the harmonies on Blank Space are so good in i think the last chorus? :jonny:

I almost became a Katy stan since I loved unconditionally so much (I thought it was a smash lol) :monkey:

19Katy9 came and turned me into a Taylor stan :ryan3: (Later I realized Taylor was the one who sang You Belong With Me and Safe And Sound)

I just listened to the TV on Youtube and I don't hear this. The drumbeat is really apparent from 0:26 onwards, but her vocals sound equally loud on both headphones to me

The vault tracks slap on this one. Say Don't Go is such a dreamy 80s song.

i kinda loved most pop stars when i first started getting into stan culture but i was for SURE the only one of the mutuals i had on tumblr who were into her...then they bandwagon'd for 1989, fell off and never came back bc of snakegate, meanwhile im still here having a f**king ball :gaycatina1:
