Cruel Summer is going to block whatever is the contender for #1 from 1989 TV.

I mean it's still a Taylor #1 but maybe there's a secret music video waiting in the wings for ****! or Say Don't Go? Lol

Yeah I dont mind her blocking herself lol but I highly doubt thereès an mv and if there is one they should release it ASAP lol! Every point counts if they want Slvt! to go #1 (highly doubt it though)

Not me being OBSESSED with WTNY AND IKP after it has been my certified least favorite tracks on 1989 ages ago :deadbanana4:

i think it's normal. Personally i always skipped how you get the girl, it sounded too much teen pop to me, but after 10 years you don't care anymore about these things, and now i like the song. She has proved in the years after she can make excellent pop songs of "any kind" so she made a pure teen pop song? good who cares, proves her versatility.

Nnn I wished the GP serves taste unlike her fanbase but well.

None of these vaults rival the original tracks, which is exactly the main problem with it. Speak Now and Red had vaults that outshined some of the original album songs like I Can See You, Timeless, Electric Touch, The Very First Night, Forever Winter, Message In A Bottle, Better Man, etc. The 1989 vaults do not surpass the big hitters like Blank Space, Style, or Wildest Dreams and that's mostly because of Jack's production. Combined with the fact that Taylor overhyped these vaults by calling them "insane", I can see why fans were disappointed and overly critical when the album came out. The vaults aren't bad at all, but they are not 1989 pop bible caliber. :gaylorcat2:

There's still the second version taking streams away from it. Combined I'm 100% sure it's still #1.

Say Don’t Go is soooooooo freakin good. Now That We Don’t Talk and Suburban Legends are also both so so good. I need a bit more time with Sl*t and Is It Over now but I like them. Wonderland though is hitting different with this new mix. It is my favorite so far. The whole album sounds great. I understand some people don’t like Style but it’s grown on me a lot over the day. But Wonderland… Wonderland is that girl..

To be fair, **** is definitely still #1 with a big lead (or maybe Style?) combined with the deluxe versions. Apple always takes forever to combine when she pulls this type of thing, I remember same was going on with Midnights :skull:

And how many times are you going to **** on people for expressing a valid opinion of the album

Not every opinion has to be positive. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows hun

Now That We Don't Talk has become my favorite vault track. It's criminal how short it is. It just keeps me wanting more.

Is there a chance based of Apple music streams, and ****! having strong sales it may go #1 on the hot 100? Can any of these songs leap over Cruel Summer?

Yeah I absolutely think a 1989 track is going #1. Cruel Summer isnt that strong.

A lot of contenders. Maybe Is It Over Now can do it. Its showing early signs of staying power

When I said it I counted Cruel Summer as a part of the top 10 :rip: there ain't no way 10 songs are gonna get +250 points. +200 maybe but not +250 :rip:

Cruel Summer will be lower.

The vault is better than the bolded and on par with Better Man and Timeless.

I fail to understand how you would be able to like songs like Message in Bottle and The Very First Night (cute songs but they both sound extremely of their time) while denigrating the 1989 Vault.

I Can See You is very overrated tbh, people just like it because of the rock production but lyrically and melodically it's very fearless, electric touch was never hailed as a fan favorite and Patrick was unnecessary, and while Forever Winter is poignant, it still has a weak melody. You just sound like you want to be outraged for no reason.
