Is there a chance based of Apple music streams, and ****! having strong sales it may go #1 on the hot 100? Can any of these songs leap over Cruel Summer?

As far as I'm seeing, the possibilities of having the entire top 10 is at 80% for her first day, but then again it's a re-record so i think it's gonna fall off and at the end of the week there'll be only 6-7 tracks in the top 10 (which is crazy)

**** is essentially what She wanted to do with Gorgeous, but failed miserably. It would have fit perfectly on Reputa.

True, but we have to remember that 1989 was/is a pop phenomenon. I think 1989 TV will have legs.

1989 has been camping in the top 20 for months unlike poor Speak Now. It will have great legs.

****! is the #1 contender based on the first day. It's #1 and #103 on Apple Music US, that is HUGE HUGE.

1989 TV's first day on Apple Music US is almost twice as big as Speak Now.

I actually LOVE Style TV now  I mean it’s ROUGH but the bass punches harder and the bell on the chorus is more prominent and sounds clear, I always thought that sound is one of the best thing about this song

I have to agree I think the fake Suburban Legends is better than the real one. Lol

I doubt 10 songs are going to Top Cruel Summer's total points. the radio numbers and streams too strong, I think. It'll be interesting to see if she can chart 9 out of the 10 though! Will the 9th song be able to beat out Doja?

When I said it I counted Cruel Summer as a part of the top 10 :rip: there ain't no way 10 songs are gonna get +250 points. +200 maybe but not +250 :rip:

Her delivery of the second pre-chorus on Is It Over Now? is a career highlight no?

Let's fast forward to three hundred awkward blind dates later
If she's got blue eyes, I will surmise that you'll probably date her
You dream of my mouth before it called you a lying traitor
You search in every model's bed for somethin' greater, baby

Hmm is 1989 doing better than Midnights on Apple? I can’t remember

If it is, I hope we get a confirmation that she broke the pop or female (?) album record again

I think looking at the TVs as rougher versions of the OG helps with your enjoyment of it. I thought they did a great job overall with this album but it’s not quite as polished as the OG, even on all the great songs. And yeah, that could be used as a negative for some but I personally think it’s interesting to have these new versions which are slightly rougher around the edges. At least I think they are rougher, maybe others don’t idk

But it’s a bit like Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill… this example is a bit more drastic since she was much older, but it was re-recorded in 2012 for the Olympics and sounded very rough compared to the super polished OG. But I always liked that version as much or more.

Tick-tock on the clock, I pace down your block

I broke my own heart 'cause you were too polite to do it

Waves crash on the shore, I dash to the door

You don't knock anymore, and my whole life's ruined

Tick-tock on the clock, I pace down your block

I broke my own heart 'cause you were too polite to do it

Waves crash to the shore, I dash to the door

You don't knock anymore, and I always knew it

And my life had been ruined

The vault tracks would have been more well received if she released 1989 TV before Midnights.

it's on pars. 1989 has more competition now and the positions are great considering they're not even combined yet on AM

to be honest, midnights did a little bit better
but midnight had lil baby album as its competition while 1989 has bad bunny and drake album bombs

Lavender Haze was at #1 and #40 before getting combined (slvt: #1 and #102)

YAIL (lowest chart track from 1989) has a higher position than Dear Reader (lowest charting track from Midnights) did though

the 2nd version of SVLT! would have been inside the top 50 too had it not been for the album bombs so yeah it's on pars but midnights were a lil bit better

Plus didn't the deluxe version for 1989 TV come out 5 hours later than the 3 am version for Midnights so all the 2nd versions have had less time to climb
