illicit affairs Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Is there a chance based of Apple music streams, and ****! having strong sales it may go #1 on the hot 100? Can any of these songs leap over Cruel Summer?

As far as I'm seeing, the possibilities of having the entire top 10 is at 80% for her first day, but then again it's a re-record so i think it's gonna fall off and at the end of the week there'll be only 6-7 tracks in the top 10 (which is crazy)
mael Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 **** is essentially what She wanted to do with Gorgeous, but failed miserably. It would have fit perfectly on Reputa.

I think 1989 TV will have legs.
mael Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Say Don't Go Is It Over? Sl*t! Now That We Don't Talk Suburban Legends Suburban Legends kinda fell off.

It's #1 and #103 on Apple Music US, that is HUGE HUGE. 1989 TV's first day on Apple Music US is almost twice as big as Speak Now. 2
enchanted0 Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 I actually LOVE Style TV now I mean it’s ROUGH but the bass punches harder and the bell on the chorus is more prominent and sounds clear, I always thought that sound is one of the best thing about this song 1
illicit affairs Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 I have to agree I think the fake Suburban Legends is better than the real one. Lol 1

It'll be interesting to see if she can chart 9 out of the 10 though! Will the 9th song be able to beat out Doja?

When I said it I counted Cruel Summer as a part of the top 10 there ain't no way 10 songs are gonna get +250 points. +200 maybe but not +250
mael Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 (edited) Her delivery of the second pre-chorus on Is It Over Now? is a career highlight no? Let's fast forward to three hundred awkward blind dates later If she's got blue eyes, I will surmise that you'll probably date her You dream of my mouth before it called you a lying traitor You search in every model's bed for somethin' greater, baby Edited October 28, 2023 by mael 1
GAGAISTHEBESTYA Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 The kii when Bad Blood is the song that debuts at #1 instead of SLVT!

I can’t remember If it is, I hope we get a confirmation that she broke the pop or female (?) album record again

I thought they did a great job overall with this album but it’s not quite as polished as the OG, even on all the great songs. And yeah, that could be used as a negative for some but I personally think it’s interesting to have these new versions which are slightly rougher around the edges. At least I think they are rougher, maybe others don’t idk But it’s a bit like Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill… this example is a bit more drastic since she was much older, but it was re-recorded in 2012 for the Olympics and sounded very rough compared to the super polished OG. But I always liked that version as much or more.
Cleanromantic Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Tick-tock on the clock, I pace down your block I broke my own heart 'cause you were too polite to do it Waves crash on the shore, I dash to the door You don't knock anymore, and my whole life's ruined Tick-tock on the clock, I pace down your block I broke my own heart 'cause you were too polite to do it Waves crash to the shore, I dash to the door You don't knock anymore, and I always knew it And my life had been ruined 1
Rence Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 The vault tracks would have been more well received if she released 1989 TV before Midnights. 1

chiliam Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Now that we dont talk outro is such a highlight moment. She is not lying when she said its her shortest song but still have the punch.
jdlrey Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 holdown i’m obsessed with is it over now…. this is maybe not her best vault but it’s her best vault track chile

Cleanromantic Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 Vault ranking: 1989 > Red > Fearless > Speak Now 2 2
