So her First day on Spotify have never been complete 24 hours globally?. I thought Spotify count 24 hours for every country, even with the different time zones.

Nope, it goes by GMT. So technically midnight BST releases get the whole tracking day while EST releases get 20 hours or so

The vault tracks are insane indeed :jonny: took me a couple listens to get into them but I know I’ll love them forever.

Some of her best lyrics/visuals but this forum is not ready for that discussion just yet.

yeah, you guys aren't crazy. I'm a music producer and have actual studio equipment and on my KRK studio monitors, that clicking, especially at the beginning of NR is very very audible.. I double-checked to make sure I was listening in high-res lossless FLAC too.

I don't think it's make or break but I just don't get how audio engineers working on music for the biggest pop star in the world couldn't catch/fix this :doc:

Also the high frequency buzzing underneath of her vocal whenever there are quiet moments in the production. (Go to the last 10-20 seconds of Clean TV and listen there, that's where I noticed it most). Once you hear it, you sadly can't unhear it. :chick3:

yeah i produce music too that's why i immediately noticed both things and as you said it's very weird to me that in such a professional setting and with this budget they still managed this to happen

Finally fathomed that Say Don't Go and AYHTDWS are sisters.

Why'd you whisper in the dark

just to leave in the night?

Not them paying Say Don't Go dust :dies:

It’s insane how I can immediately tell which parts of the lyrics and melodies of Say Don’t Go were written by Diane and which were written by Taylor.

Her ambition  is incredible. CITIES Skylines 2 and 1989 have made my week come alive. Beautiful game, beautiful songs. I love art!!!

I don't get why they had to change the pitch of OOTW and make the song sound more clean... I will stick with the original.

Probably because it’s intentional?

Let me bow down to Miss Heap, cause wow!:worship2:Hearing the changed background synths in Clean starting from 1:46 was like hearing the once buried strings on the new Red title track for the first time, it just blows my mind how a small change can improve the song drastically. In the already masterpiece original you hear sth similiar to a music box, which is nice, but now you have an open dreamlike glimmering synthline in a song with tons of dream imagery. It just fits so much better. I guess this is why musicians usually never want to stop tweaking their songs, cause they might find that one small change that could elevate a song to new heights.

Imogen is sooooo talented it’s crazy :jonny:  Clean is just so good

I would KILL for a full Taylor album produced by her

I don’t like the mixing in the max songs.  Too much high end in the mix on most the songs. The intro it style is awful. As well first vocal line. will give credit her vocals sound better on some of the songs. The bridge of IKP is better. Liked her vocal performance more on wonderland on this version

i never really like clean but really enjoyed this version.
don’t the vault tracks except say don’t go with is amazing.

I honestly will likely keep listening to the original album with a couple of exceptions.

The shouty background vocals in the chorus of Say Don’t Go are heavenly, giving Enya vibes :jonny5:

Just got home with my beautiful tangerine deluxe edition

Also can we just mention how it’s insane that we’re even wondering if a rerecording could break or nearly break Midnights’ record :gaycatx:

Yeah I can see the original holding up the best streams wise out of all the re records, mostly because it’s her most popular album with the GP who are less likely to switch to TVs. People won’t bother replacing songs like Shake It Off or Style in their playlists and stuff like that.
