I was trying to tell everyone this. I could see the writing on the wall with the way Red (TV) played out. ATW was the #1, but the singles [IKYWT and WANEGBT] ended up having the best longevity. 1989 was so singles heavy, even more so than Red. If Taylor’s team pushes a radio single, it needs to be one that’s already been a single.

I just ran to my local Target. The vinyl was NOT on the shelf!! None of the variants or CDs!! I walked over to the employee and he already knew what I was going to ask. He said “Oh, Taylor Swift?” I said “um yeah????” And he said, “we don’t know where it is! We can’t find it! We’ve been looking. Come back tonight. We should have 40 copies.”

 

What’s worse? The fact that they can’t find it or that that they think 40 copies is enough???

I honestly don’t hear a single issue with the vocal mixing. Apple Music, Dolby Atmos turned off. Not sure how Spotify might impact things and whether they have something like Dolby Atmos as well that could mess with how things sound.

the fact that she said she purposefully put this one last to ask the question "is the album over now?" and then giggles after she says this is kinda suspicious

  

 also the fact that she said that 1989 always felt so NY to her but there is no trace of NY in the photoshoots and aesthetic, idk suspicious

Christopher Rowe. The mixing is only bad on Style. The rest is fine. The production on New Romantics is super bad though

I got the standard "crystal skies blue edition" CD. I kinda like the cover as she's smiling, the idea behind it is cute since she's rarely smiled in photos.

 

However: the pictures in the booklet are stunning. They were right there Taylor  the picture with the tall grass in the background as she places her left arm behind her head is gorgeous, ditto a few others.

This is the first TV that I won’t switch to, except for the vault tracks. 1989 means too much to me to give up on the perfection of the original.
