Y'all were hyping up SIO and it just sounds ok to me. Maybe it's because it's one of the few 1939 songs I really use

:clack:

You'll get used to it

I feel so deceived, WD and TL were perfect but all the new songs bar a couple are just unprecedentedly unlistenable, THEE Taylor Swift, THEE post-GODNIGHTS Taylor Swift, in late 2023 mind you, releasing something so awful  I just can't believe.............

She is a billionaire and will sell millions of copies of this but still went the cheap route on the production
If Max truly didnt want to work on the rerecordings then there is still surely someone better available than Christopher Rowe.. he did fine on the country stuff but my god imagine him on the Puta production :ryan3:

Via Wikipedia: Christopher Rowe, is an American record producer, audio engineer and guitarist specializing in country rock
we can tell :ryan3:

Like why is that rando put as the sole producer of these delicate, holy pop productions :deadbanana4: honestly I enjoyed most of the pop songs on Red a lot, even 22 which is like my first favorite Taylor song since I was a kid is totally enjoyable for me in the TV, but I fear that's thanks to Shellback and Elvira's contributions. Why were they omitted from this re recording :deadbanana4: like literally what is this disaster :deadbanana4: the most important re recording mind you:deadbanana4:

No but fr, somebody needs to give me a reason why tf is country rock producer in charge of making 80s-inspired synth pop? Quickly

Say Don’t Go is awesome but I can see why it didn’t make the cut. Some of its melodic elements were already in Clean (just like I Can See You had a variation of Mine’s opening), although the two songs are completely different

What is this buzz sound throughout How You Get The Girl :deadbanana2:

wonderland sounds exactly the same i'm kinda shocked tbh... suddenly i'm not worried about rep

All You Had To Do Was Stay is her best re-recording on this album: multi-layered, updated production, amazing background vocals and she nailed the „BUT NOT LIKE THIS!” part. Outsold Max Martin on that track I fear

I will be keeping the original version of Style methinks. Taylor’s version sounds like a slightly poorer imitation of it rather than an improvement :monkey:

Vault tracks ranking on 1st listen:

1. Say Don’t GOD :jonny5: literally pop perfection. How this didn’t end up on 1989 OG is beyond me

2. “****!”
3. Is it over now?
4. Now that we don’t talk

5. Suburban legends. Was expecting a bawp but got a Mastermind rehash :priceless:

The way the vault tracks are all very midnightsified i wonder if she’s being truthful about them being written almost a decade ago  Sis needs to bring back Max and ditch Hack for a good while like i’m srsly begging

you spoke so real omg

Now That We Don't Talk is so going to be the undeservingly overlooked vault track. I love it.
