Ya I'm so confused. I'm shocked they weren't more uptempo? They sound like they should be added to Midnights instead. Even though they are synth pop, they don't sound like the 1989 synth work.

I was having a hard time coming up with a good analogy to describe the issue but yes. It’s kinda like the studio version of the songs performed on The Voice. They’re hollowed out.
