10. You Are In Love (this would be way higher if I’d never read the nickname “You Are In Lena”)

LOUDER SIS!!!!

I Smell Feces and Welcome to Pyongyang are TRASH!

I love the song but this made me gasp. You're so good at coming up with nicknames :deadvision:

Not too much on Shake It Off now :giraffe: an absolutely classic Max Martin bop. And certainly not her first or last song with cringe lyrics. It gets too much hate.

I feel like the text on the cover kind of makes sense to me this time. 1989 warrants some exceptions here and there as her biggest individual album and as her commercial and perhaps cultural - peak until the Eras Tour happened. The fact that it isn’t textless also sets it next to Lover and Midnights - differentiating her primarily-pop albums released under her new record deal from her country and folk-leaning records.

yeah I think this might be the case.

yeah I just gave a full listen for the first time in a while and whew it really hasn't aged. I can see it performing like a normal era in streaming wise unless she completely butchers it

Yep it's OVER for MIDnights. 1989 is gonna be plastered in the top ten for a while!

The way you have been incapable of having bad taste for as long as I've known you :jonny5:

This is pretty much my exact ranking except I'd put This Hymn above Shake It Off :gaycat4:

Keep in mind I'm ranking the OG tracks, not the TV. This Love TV is amazing so it'll be probably higher (and SIO much lower):gaycat4:

Lyrically it's pretty simple, sure, but the production work is some of the best on the album, and it saddens me that the girls on this forum do nothing but tear Shake It Off down :gaycat6:

SIO is a 16x platinum eligible smash for a reason :gaylorcat2:

The verse for SIO is actually one of her career highlights. I was truly shocked when I first heard it

Wait fair enough then :gaycat4:

TL original is a wee bit muffled compared to the clarity of the TV

To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I

Like I've never seen her hyping up her own music like this.. the only conclusion is that she's focusing on vault tracks because the TVs for the OG are tragic..

I have a feeling the album will be totally solo like the original version

We all had this exact same feeling with Speak Now TV because it was solo written. :)

The vault tracks better be HIT after hit.. was expecting more than 5 tracks
Honestly hope for no collabs but given she had collabs on all the vaults before there will be some here aswell.
