So can someone please explain what deal Chris Rowe made that he’s somehow in line to have producer credits on her entire re-recorded discography??? Like who is this no name man and why is he reaping the royalties?

still can't believe she turned 1989 into a beach album, though

It's always felt like a beach album to me tbh. I wasn't into TS when this album originally came out. It felt very juvenile to me, and I knew my younger ex was into it so I skipped it. Flash forward to several years later, me on the beach listening to Clean while walking the wrack line, and it hit me. Also, we went on a road trip this summer through the desert, and I remember listening to 1989 top to bottom w/ windows down and sunroof open driving 80 through the sage brush and canyons screaming the lyrics. 1989 has always been a nature album for me.

Everyone still whining cluelessly about the beach and the lyric booklet

As they tell it, they immediately clicked. Four months later, in early 2014, they road tripped through Big Sur in California, where Kl*ss became the first person to hear 1989

well the album costs as the OG or even more so she could if she wants very similar music. But again Max Martin is a creative and also a very requested producer. I don't think he was interested to stay there for 6 months to work to make 1989 and rep again when he can work on new music. Making a new version of a song, a remix can be interesting, working on making copies seems for a producer the most boring thing ever.

Where are you getting the 3 month/6 month timeline from? Like you said, it's essentially "making copies," so it shouldn't take that long. All the assets are already there.

if anyone posts anything related to the prologue please post it in spoilers cause I don’t want to read it until I have my album

my only wish is that the production for bad blood is the same as the kendrick remix version instead of the rinky dink original version :giraffe:

The only song I’m really looking forward to on this is Style, the bones of that song are already timeless but there’s opportunity to take it even further

Chris Rowe has been doing engineering and mixing for Taylor’s tours since the Fearless or Speak Now tour, so I guess Taylor thought that since her touring musicians are re-recording her albums with her that he should help with production.
