Taylor Swift - '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

You’re all missing the point with the beach theme. The SEAgulls are an EASter egg for her eleventh studio album with is actually SEAshore, the third Folkmore sister, and this is how she’s telling us it’s real like she told us Karma was real, and you can tell because 11 looks like 1.1 and 1.1 times 10 (5 times 2, because 1989 is her fifth album and because it’s secretly going to be a double album) equals 11, and also there are 11 stripes on the front of her shirt on one of the cover variants.

I think the only time I remember 1989 having a beach was in the Style music video…. Other than that the album was giving city vibes

And the OOTW video?

Rowe being the only producer on Bad Blood TV :deadbanana2: I’m SCARED

Vaults are just Jack, but the rest of the album is Christopher Rowe, Shellback, Ryan Tedder and Imogen Heap

Probably, but it could be primarily Jack and Christopher (who tends to take the majority of the non-vault songs usually though that might be different this time since this is the first mainly pop one).

Christopher Rowe has been producing every re-recorded track since Fearless TV, so it’s probably just him, Jack and Imogen for Clean TV since she hinted at it a while ago.

Maybe some Elvira as well (hopefully not).

Oh yeah that’s right. I guess in her head she’s always seen the beach as the main visual….

Why not Elvira? They did amazing with the vocals on Love Story remix. I use it more than the standard.

Fans always do this when a 10 second snippet of a song leaks, and act like it’s better than any song the artist actually released

it's so hard to understand the biggest producer in the world with a net worth of 300M dollars doesn't want to stay there to work for 3-4 months to an album he already made? :deadbanana4:

Being serious about the whole beach thing, if she’s associated that time in her life, specific experiences tied to the lyrics, and the album as a whole with the beach and seagulls and all that for the past ten years, that kind of thing deepens and compounds over time. Associations like that become ingrained within you and become the defining element of how you perceive related things. What to us was a sweater on the cover and a little bit of a couple music videos might have always been something much more profound and personal to her, and maybe something she feels more comfortable to share now that we’re getting her version, now that she can be open and genuine without fear of how the album is perceived (given that it was such a shift in sound and image) and without the restrictions of an overbearing label and its marketing department. It’s just a result of natural processes and how our memories work - specific places and symbols often become the clearest pieces of our lives when we look back.

Nobody's paying Max $1M per song to do some re-recordings, so I think the decision not to work together was mutual.

well the album costs as the OG or even more so she could if she wants very similar music. But again Max Martin is a creative and also a very requested producer. I don't think he was interested to stay there for 6 months to work to make 1989 and rep again when he can work on new music. Making a new version of a song, a remix can be interesting, working on making copies seems for a producer the most boring thing ever.
