Im absolutely living for this monumental year Taylor Swift is having. However i feel like 1989 (TV) is going to be bad :doc:

The pop songs of off Red (TV) were not good. And this is almost all pop songs.

As a counterpoint, Message in a Bottle was fine, The Very First Night was great, and we already have two tracks from this album that were excellent. I think there’s plenty of hope!

This Love (TV) is great. I agree

I don’t know why everyone hates Paris so much. Or Question…?, for that matter.

Paris has a terrible chorus. Verses are fine.

Twitter is an ugly mess with the make your own covers. It makes it hard to keep track of potential raw chicken.

I will 100% be crying when I listen to Clean TV  for the first time

I have such a strong emotional attachment to Clean. That song got me through such a sh*tty period in my life… listening to the TV is gonna be an EXPERIENCE.

Same. It’s my favorite Taylor song of all time. :weeps:

Yeah, the few accounts on Twitter who keep track as best as they can of pre-orders and are usually accurate said she surpassed around 900K some time ago. I think the CDs restock a week(?) ago and then this week with both CDs and vinyl is to push for 1M pre-orders ngl.

Republic publishing a press release saying it’s surpassed 1M in activity based on pure sales alone before it’s even released would be a slay :giraffe:

Plus her target numbers are probably really strong so she must be close :gaylorcat2:

i guess it's for the best that Slvt is a midtempo... most of the time when Taylor and Jack try to create a bop it's just straight up cringe (Karma, London Boy, This Is Why We Can't, Paris) and their slower songs are their best (You Are In Love, Call It What You Want, Snow On the Beach, the lakes) so maybe there is hope after all

I have faith it will be just as good as the original, I actually think 1989 as a whole will be good.

So you would want all 5 vaults to be slow/mid tempo since Jack is producing them all?

i’m hoping Suburban Legends is a synthpop smasha like Rollercoaster or Cruel Summer, but as for the rest, yes
