Yes and none of those fan favorites produced by Jack compare to anthemic punchy songs like Style, New Romantics, and Blank Space. Be so for real now. August is not on the same level as them :rip:

You can’t really compare these songs in one go. They’re all so different and in different areas. They all have space in her discography and they’re all great :clap3: some people prefer the Pop anthems and some prefer Jack’s production.

Is MM  gonna profit from songwriting credits?

I guess she doesn’t want people to associate 1989 with MM anymore.

And 1989 tv should only have the big anthemic Pop anthems. What's not clicking bestie :doc:

So, either way he is fine, and Tay doesn’t wanna give him more money :coffee:

It’s no surprise that none of the vault songs are Max/Shellback. He’s one of the most sought after/expensive producers out there so I imagine his material for albums rarely gets left in the vault. If a label is paying big $$$$ for his productions there’s no way any of them are getting left behind, hence why NR/Wonderland made the original 1989 DLX and none of these vault songs did.

It’s so funny to me that some of the fandom kinda groan at Jack credits despite him being responsible for some of her most loved, fan-favorite tracks (see: Getaway Car, Cruel Summer, August, My Tears Ricochet). He’s proven time and time again that he’s super versatile and can produce emotionally charged ballads (Timeless), as well as pop bops.

that's not true at all....he defended her during her shake it off lawsuit and said she wrote the whole song and tay praised him during an award acceptance speech back in 2021

I know bestie, I am in some way agreeing with you. I just love Jack’s production so I’m really happy about the outcome. I just think they’re not on the best of terms right now.

Getaway Car? Cruel Summer?

they’re literally two of her most anthemic and punchy pop songs. The latter is the opener for her stadium tour… if that doesn’t scream anthem I don’t know what does.

I hope they are fine, but it was 2 years ago, who knows what could have happened.

We literally had an entire Jack pop album last year and none of those songs are anthemic and punchy pop songs. He just doesn't have it in him anymore.

Watch his vault songs sound like Question...? and Mastermind  :gaycat7:

Maybe she will include it on Rep TV cause Jack songs sans GC are very mid there

Both of which should/should have stayed in the vault. She can give them to Ariana or something.

And yes everyone I will switch like BLEEP so hard so quick if I end up being obsessed with the vault songs and will apologise to daddy Jack for doubting him :cm:

Just pretending like Karma is not the actual closer of the tour and a whole bop :gaylorcat2:

For those who want more TS x Max Martin songs, you’ll get at least 1 more on Rep TV with “Family” (which was written by Taylor, Max, Shellback & Oscar Holter) so it’s not the end of the world if he’s not on the 1989’s vault :cm:

They’re exceptions, though. Red was never marketed as a pop album and despite how much I love MIAB, it would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb on the standard Red track list. That’s why I said his material “rarely gets left behind” as I’m not denying it probably does in some circumstances.

Max/Shellback we’re brought on board for 1989 as she knew she explicitly wanted a pop album, and they’re present on over 50% of the original album/DLX, whereas there’s clearly all these Jack outtakes from the 1989 sessions. That, imo, clearly tells us there was (at the time), a preference for the Max tracks over any other producers.

Well, it was a lawsuit that got him to admit that Blondie had completed the whole song, lyrics and melody, by the time they got to the studio. Yet he's credited as a main songwriter. A little fishy if you ask me :celestial5:

i love jack, but lbr, 1989 was as much max martin's album as it was taylor's. he EP'd the thing. i kind of understand why there wouldn't be any vaults from their sessions, because they usually work tight and it's realistic that not a lot of material ended up scrapped, but not having the original EP come back in some way is bizarre.
