I feel like its writing is actually really, really good. Mary’s Song TV will collapse the earth into a black hole.

Fun fact, she did actually do demo CDs way back in the day, and I hope we get some of those songs as vault tracks! I think Sweet Tea And God’s Graces was one of them.

Mixtape probably has the largest pile of possible vault tracks out of every one of her albums, so I almost hope she does something special and releases basically a whole second album out of it. There’s just so much left from that era she could do. She could give us a full/finished You Don’t Have To Call Me, she could do Never Mind, she could do Long Time Going but with more stripped back production more reminiscent of the first ten seconds, she could do Need You Now, she could do This Is Really Happening… I feel like the one that’s guaranteed, though, is Dark Blue Tennessee. I’d be shocked if she left that off everything (since it wasn’t on Fearless TV).

if I’d Lie, By the Way, Need You Now and What do You Say aren’t on debut vault i will RIOT

I know right? There's just something about albums that have a title track that just pleases me :gaycat6:

Not production credits, but usually we get songwriting credits on the Monday/Tuesday of the album's release week! From that, we should be able to make logical guesses who produced which vault...

Well, my guess...

****! - Shellback and Max Martin (Cuz only they can do a song with title like this)

Say Don't Go (Ballad from Imogen Cheap or Tedder)

Now That We Don't Talk (all short track were made by Jack)

Suburban Legends - Shellback and Max Martin

Is It Over Now - Jack Antonoff or Martin

Not gonna comment on blank space

we’re only listening for the vaultsies anyways

Speaking of title tracks I've always thought that New Romantics or Welcome to New York have that role in 1989. At the same time Ready For It...? and Look What you made me do are perfect "title tracks" for Reputation as well as A Palce in this world/TTWAS in debut. Speak Now obviously has a real title track (Speak Now song) but in my opinion Sparks Fly is a sort of "spiritual title track" for the album as well as Enchantd. Okay enough with the twisted fan thoughts

I might just be delulu but if rep TV really is next, there was a fairly convincing theory about it getting released sometime in late winter (February I think?) It was one of those theories that actually made sense and I feel like that's enough time between re-releases.

Also, for anyone still wondering, an insider did confirm that the vault tracks for 1989 are not 'new' songs. Obviously they may have been tweaked and production may have changed since their original iteration but I believe they were all worked on during 1989.

I haven't listened to the BS snippet, but I have a feeling it's going to be a collapse just like the rest of this album. I genuinely cannot believe we're so close :wanda:It has been so hard staying away from Style, BS, OOTW, IWYW, Clean, and the album in general. Cannot explain how excited I am to finally re-visit this record in less than a week!

here is a list of things that need to be perfect for each track:

WTNY: for some reason i need the riser at the beginning of the song to be spot on, weird ik but i have my reasons lmao

BS: well we've heard BS TV already or at least i did and i wasn't super happy with the vocal delivery but the instrumental is spot on and that was my main concern

Style: the guitar riff has to be perfect and also the bridge "TAKE ME HOOOME"

OOTW: the drums literally make the song and from the snippet they sound perfect, but also the bridge since it's the best bridge on the album

AYHTDWS: the high pitch STAY

SIO: the drums, years ago i downloaded the stems and the song has so many layers but the drums are the main focus so they need to nail that

IWYW: the guitar riff and also the drums

BB: the vocal delivery, i really hope she's gonna sound angry and bitter like the og cause that's the whole point of the song

WD: it's perfect, improved even

HYGTG: can't think of anything, it's my least fav song on the album so i guess i'm hoping for an upgrade that will make me love the song like it happened for some tracks on fearless TV

This Love: perfect no complaints

IKP: the vocal delivery and the tape machine sounds

Clean: the instrumental

Wonderland: the drop and the bells

YAIL: the main arpeggiated melody and the echo in the chorus

NR: the main "ah ah ahah ah" melody, im lowkey scared of how it's gonna sound ngl

STF: the drums, even tho they sound good on the snippet

disclaimer: i know the rerecordings will never sound 100% like the og, we all know that by know so ofc i don't expect anything to be the exact same, but at least as close as possible

I’m pretty sure Jack Antonoff produced all the Vault tracks. The reason why he only has a few songs on 1989 is because there was a deal for MM to produce and have a certain number of songs on there.

Also, Max Martin productions cost around $100k per song, and he’s not produced any other Vault song thus far. I don’t think he’s been brought back at all.

Just because Max Martin is not producing the re-recordings, that doesn't mean his scrapped songs won't be in the vaults. Message In A Bottle was a scrapped Max Martin song that was in the Red TV vault. It was produced by Shellback and his protege Elvira.

1989 TV vaults can very well have scrapped Max Martin songs.

My prediction for the songwriters:

1. "Sl ut!" - Taylor, Max Martin, Shellback
2. Say Don't Go - Taylor, Ryan Tedder
3. Now That We Don't Talk - Taylor, Jack Antonoff
4. Suburban Legends - Taylor, Max Martin, Shellback
5. Is It Over Now? - Taylor, Jack Antonoff
