It’s safe to assume that Sweeter Than Fiction TV will be available on streaming the same day as 1989, right? I’d hate it if it would be a timed exclusive (on vinyl no less) again knowing it’s Target. Plus that kinda defeats the purpose of re-recordings which is to replace the original ASAP

Target tracks are not instantly on streaming.

I think contractually Target will hold the sole distribution rights to STF for a limited time. If a big retailer is doing exclusives for an artist, there also needs to be something in it for them I.e them being the only ones to hold an artist “exclusive” - in this case STF. If STF is also released on streaming the very same day, it would essentially render the Target exclusive redundant, so I’d be very surprised if it is. 
 

Look at Hits Different, that was a Target exclusive for a number of months before it was released on streaming.

I believe someone once said it's normally a 6 month contract between Taylor and Target for the exclusive tracks but I'm not sure that's 100% true.

I’m basing this off of nothing other than my own guessing, but I’d imagine we’ll see STF on streaming after New Year’s. The initial release hype + Christmas will have passed, so no real reason to keep a re-recording of a song that was essentially an “extra” and has never been a fan favorite from doing any numbers it can.
