Genuine question (truly no shade) but do yall really believe that the vault songs are really songs that she wrote in 2013-2014? Some of the lines on the Red TV vault track for example makes me think she edited them to fit her life right now

I genuinely believe all vault songs too date were originally written for there respective albums, however, it’s a long- time since some of them were written and her songwriting has only gotten consistently better so it wouldn’t surprise me if she somewhat edited some of them.

in terms of production, I seem to remember her saying about Fearless TV vault that seeing as these songs had never been heard before it enabled her to experiment and change-up their instrumentals/production. This is most apparent to me in two songs: Don’t You and Message In A Bottle. The first is lyrically very Fearless, but there’s no way the original was that synth-pop sounding. Same for MIAB: lyrically it’s similar to a couple of other Red Max Martin tracks (22 and WANEGBT), but I doubt the original demo was that synth-poppy. I imagine the original was more 22 sounding with a typical MM acoustic guitar riff and thumping synthetic drums.

what are our expectations for first day spotify numbers :gaycat4:for reference:
Peak Now (TV) - 126M
MIDnights - 185M

surely more than Peak Now.. question is if it can surpass MID considering the Eras tour/movie hype and all the new fans she gained
i'd say:
flop - under 125M
low expectation 126-145M
reasonable expectations (most likely numbers) 146-170M
high expectations 171-200M
absolutely insane numbers 200M+

I think it'll most likely do 145-150M

My prediction is 150-160M. I'd say below 140M is an underperformance (it seems absolutely insane to say that :deadbanana4:).

Do we have an update (estimate) on how many copies have sold in the US based on pre-orders alone?

Track Average: ~7.5M

Debut: ~155M-160M

Last time I asked the question it was in the 900k-1M range.

These numbers are INSANE and the fact that they're very much doable it's mindblowing, to say the least

If I told you that I was most excited for Shake It Off (Taylor’s Version) would ATRL hold it against me?

There are still people pretending like Shake it Off isn’t one of the best Max Martin bops ever?

she has 200+ songs with more typical songwriter lyricism, we’ll survive the fact that she sang “players gonna play, haters gonna hate” on one pure pop song.

I used to LOVE SIO but I think I ended up overplaying it. If it comes up on my playlist I’ll definitely dance and bop to it, but I don’t go and intentionally listen to it

I think it was a great move to have This Love already released, because it will definitely get overshadowed and at least now it has a great amount of respectable streams. I do hope it gets a bigger exposure, it's one of my favorites in this album.

Now I know that I Know Places will be overshadowed, but give this track a glow up please, and hopefully it can go viral. This and Clean are such a great addition to This Love as this album's trinity. Yeah weird that they are far from the big bops of the album but they all really stood the test of time, and sounds amazing up to now.

I dont think she'll change the main 1989 set but night one is DEFINITELY getting a vault track as a surprise song. Maybe even the blue 1989 outfit :ihype:
