Some of y’all actually replace the Stolen Versions? I use the Vault tracks & will listen to the TV front to back but I fear they will never replace the OG versions (at least in my music library)

I've only actually kept the original versions of the Red Pop singles :gaycat4:

I don't listen to the OG version mainly because I simply couldn't care less about the differences between them.

True. There's honestly nothing I've kept from Fearless OG.

I kept the Red pop singles (WANEGBT, IKYWT, 22), Mean (cause I'm sorry the sassiness on the TV is not here and that's what makes the song imo) and Better Than Revenge (actually I didn't delete BTR TV, I just kept the two versions).

Up until sacREDTV's release, I thought that I'll never be able to stop coming back to the og, but I was so wrong because I never looked back since release day.

not saying anyone should be a sheep and each is entitled to their own opinion, but if you stop intentionally looking for the smallest details and flaws just to be picky and judgy, you'll realize that the whole situation was a blessing in disguise for an endless number of reasons, mainly the vaults and the improved vocals and pronunciations too which always has been great but she used to have her moments here and there...

but I'll admit that I always keep on playing the "stolen" versions until the day before.

I also like State Of Grace OG better because her youthful voice fits the anthemic production better imo.

But then songs like The Last Time, the TV >>>> OG. I like a majority of the rerecordings. It really depends on the song imo

The Last Time is actually one of the best glow up imo. Along with Sad Beautiful Tragic and Mine.

I only stream the TVs, but I also have all of her original albums on vinyl, so if I’m ever feeling nostalgic I can listen to those.

I keep streaming the stolen versions up until each release day, though.

I only stream TV's, however...

OG 22 really is THAT song

OG Enchanted and Sparks Fly too...

When I stream 1989, I'm too lazy to switch to This Love TV/Wildest Dreams TV even though I love them both (unlike some TV that sound less good imo) :dies:

Yeah there's minor differences, but for me personally I just remove the og version from my phone after the TV drops and never look back. And I really don't honestly notice any difference. Like yeah I know the vocals are better but like when I listen to say The Last Time (TV), my brain isn't like "oh this is the Taylor's Version!!", it's literally just "The Last Time". I really think Swifties do too much on the differences. Like I've been a stan since SN dropped, and all the TV's so far have just seamlessly replaced the originals and my life has continued unaffected :rip:

I agree that some Swifties really do the most when it comes to Taylor's Version, but when I hear YBWM or LS (SV) on some store or coffee shop I can immediately know if it's TV or not. But when it comes to Speak Now and Red songs, it's almost impossible to distinguish, unless we're talking about that horrid "weeee" on WANEGBT.

Am I the only one who thinks IKYWT TV is MUCH better than og? It just hits harder :jonny6:

A lot of Swiftie’s are incredibly dramatic when it comes to the TVs lol. Both Red and SN are enhanced by their re-recordings, not just with Taylor’s new vocals but the updated production on some of the songs makes them a million times better. For example, the added drums in SOG and the cymbal crashes in Treacherous :jonny5: So good. Nathan Chapman just wasn’t a good producer. His work is very one dimensional and flat imo.

The only songs I would say are “butchered” are the Red Max Martin tracks. And Holy Ground, I don’t know how Jeff Bhasker flubbed that so bad :biblio: I’m sorry but they sound like bad karaoke covers. But Wildest Dreams TV sounds fantastic, so I’m hopeful for 1989 and puta TVs.

The glow up that The Story Of Us (already one of my favorite Taylor songs ever) received is something that will go down in history.

I’m most excited for Clean as it’s my favorite Taylor song ever, but OOTW is definitely second. :jonny4:

Superman is the biggest TV glow up

And of course all the Fearless non-singles had insane glow ups - TWILY, Tell Me Why, TOSOTD, Untouchable etc. :jonny:

She really did snap exceptionally hard on Tell Me Why, the spirit of Whitney was with her that day in the studio. :alexz:

for the life of me i hardly ever realize its the OG or TV and i have been a die-hard fan since 2008

Like the upgrade Change vocal, the We in WANEGBT (but its also getting less noticable now), the BTR lyric change, GAH beat change

That`s it.

So the TVs is clearly my go to.
