I Shazzamed the video now that I got home and I got the OG

Wait... But even if it was Taylor's version, it wouldn't show up on Shazam yet, because it hasn't been released... right?

I honestly don't know how it works :gaycat6: But if it did indeed sounded different than the OG, I don't think it would even have a guess? Idk

No idea... Regardless, I'm glad they used the track. Promo is promo right :bird:

can't wait for this to come out so she'll finally have good vault tracks released

This is just my opinion, but the Red vault ep of decade long scraps trumps entire careers and I’m not exaggerating… Forever Winter in particular is easily top 20 among her discography and that’s not an easy feat considering the overall quality of her catalogue.

But the audience wants to know what’s your fave 1989 vault track. No details, just your fave one:gaylorcat2:

She should do signed CDs, she has time while on break anyway. But I want them saved for the following weeks to prevent another SOS vs Midnights situation. Bad Bunny is rumored to drop a month or 1.5 months after 1989 TV which is a concern tbh :skull: That would be good timing for him, as 1989 would’ve likely slowed down enough for him to come in and rack up a bunch of weeks on top.

Nothing against him of course, but I hope 1989 TV is able to get a lot of weeks on top and avenge Midnights. Signed CD drops here and there would secure that. And it’s probably going to come close to 2M first week (or at least above Midnights) at this rate, even without signed CDs… so  :lakitu:

If it was the stolen wouldn’t she have to give permission to use it??

and i doubt she would allow that

Hopefully she'll sings one of the vaults here in Argentina. :jonny5:

Omg WTNY TV sounds so good?! This might be the first TV i can't tell any difference:jonny5:

Hopefully it's a good sign Rowe doesn't ruin the Max tracks, like he already did with WD :bird:

I would assume Ryan Tedder would come back like Dan Wilson, Jeff Bhasker and Butch Walker on Red TV but I could be wrong

The Welcome To New York (Taylor’s Version) still sound the same, meaning it’s still terrible. :eli:

The bar is in Pyongyang.

That was a given even without his confirmation, which also makes the possibility of the commercial actually being TV…

i made this to hopefully clear things up but you'll be the judge

(the audio from the tv promo is kinda mixed with other sounds they used in the video that's why it's kinda lq but imo you can still tell that it's the same)

I’m so excited/intrigued to hear the vault tracks.

The question is, will Aaron be part of it? He’s been part of all the TV’s so far (he did an incredible job on Better Man and Castles Crumbling), but will his production be able to blend with 1989? I’m so curious whether the vault tracks (assuming most of them were originally Max/Shellback tracks) be faithful to the originals? Or if she’ll reimagine them somewhat. Each TV has had something which clearly stands out: “Dont You” from Fearless TV had a synthy/dream pop makeover, MIAB from Red TV got the same treatment, and “Castles Crumbling” clearly got the Folklore/Evermore treatment by Aaron.

But Hack did Castles :thing: the worst song on SNTV :thing:

Icon Aaron did the best, Foolish #1

Wait, what!? :deadbanana:

I’ve never looked at the production credits but that really surprises me! The piano and beat used on Castles deffo gives Dessner vibes. Instrumental wise, it reminds me of Folklore/Evermore. Wow, the more you know!

and yes, Foolish #1 and Timeless are the best SN vault tracks. But I think Castles is great! My least favorite vault track is Emma, personally.

Shellback (but not Max Martin) came back for Trouble, 22, Never Ever and Wildest Dreams

Dan Wilson came back for Treacherous and Come Back... Be Here

Jacknife Lee came back for The Last Time

Jeff Bhasker came back for Holy Ground and The Lucky One

Butch Walker came back for Everything Has Changed

Espionage originally produced The Very First Night and came back to do it for the vault
