Taylor Swift - '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

So, the limited variants is clearly a lie. Each back cover of the variants spell out a number from 1989. So you can’t complete the year without having a complete set similar to the Midnights clock. :rip: They need to stop with the gimmicky limited edition claim.

To be fair they never used the words "limited edition" in any of their marketing.

I don't get how she can censor "Better Than Revenge" and then release a track called "****!" :gaycat6:

I feel like SL*T is gonna be something satirical like The Man, in a way how a woman who dates is a sl*t but a guy is cool and a player. While the mattress line is basically sl*t shaming so I understand why she changed that one ( not that I approve it BTR is iconic)

We will make it number 1 whether or not it's pushed as a single :gaycat2:

Yeah, US fans really need to get this to chart as high as possible. To see it at #1 would be a kii :giraffe:

Those are probably next on the list after the 48h vinyl sale ends.

And then possibly signed CDs & vinyl + the reveal of the Target exclusive track as the final sales push.

She's really aiming for that 1M opening. :gaycat6:

Did you mean 2M? Because it's already at 850K physical pre-sales. Even without counting the digital sales, and if it didn't sell even one more pure copy, it would open not far off from the original first week when you include the streams it'll get.

The question now is if she can hit 2M, because it's locked to outdo the OG and probably Midnights too.

I don't know if she'll reach 2M with 1989 TV but she'll reach it for sure with TS11. Her first whole new album post-Midnights/Eras Tour? Oh yeah she's getting that 2M at that point, 100%.

I mean, a Taylor Swift song called Sl*t? Between the fans, the GP AND haters listening out of curiosity, the numbers will absolutely be explosive. I could see it doing 20M+ streams first day.

I can’t get over the fact that we can make posts like this after how I thought she was on a natural, perfectly reasonable decline when Lover “only” did like 867k.

And now she’s going to do more than that in preorders :deadbanana4:

Yeah I think she'd need signed CDs to pull 2M and I'd rather, if she has any, save them back so we don't get an SOS vs Midnights repeat with the rumored Nov-Dec Bad Bunny album. But I guess anything's possible. I think it can get to 1.6-1.8M for sure.

It'll probably do more than AH/LH etc for sure :jonny:

I always sense she wanted the 1989 TV to be without features so the Nicki alleged feature was a ridiculous theory from the fans.

However, It does look unethical that she is not including the Kendrick Lamar version of Bad Blood into the track list of the TV when his version is the one that gave her another #1 and a Grammy award. Bad Blood remix played a big role in the 1989 era and it would be shameful if it got belittled to being a limited edition Target bonus track. :deadbanana4:

It should at least get a stand-alone version released. Do we agree?

I think Sl*t has a real possibility at #1. Might be just a fan-driven-quick-one-week-then-free-fall #1 a la ATW10, but the possibility is there.

And that’s only if she doesn’t push it as a single. Imagine if she does. :duca:
