These are probably 3 minutes songs with very short verses and a lot of hooks. So featurings probably feel forced to her. Also if the Songs are very personal what's the point of Selena Gomez singing a verse?.

 

I think She makes duets when It has a sense. People Always complain that artists just makes vocals in her duets but her songs are her point of view in such a strong way a feat just feel forced. The only way to have a duet 

 

1) rap verse

2) a Song there Is like two lovers speaking and the other voice Is another point of view (the last time, exile etc...)

3) when makes sense the other voice sings her point of views (Phoebe bridgers Is a young artist so nothing new is something She could write for herself).

 

1989 has very short songs about her love Life, personal Life, media perception etc.. featurings just don't match

Disappointed there's no Nicki feature but really can't be too mad or surprised.  Taylor is way too smart and calculating to bring such a lightning rod of controversy into one of her albums.  I'll just pray Sagittarius is on PF2
