I said it before, but this is Taylor we’re talking about, and in regular Taylor fashion she won’t reveal the tracklist until it leaks which has been hapenning for over a decade now, folkmore and the first 2 TVs were a different situation due the pandemic, but now we’re back to regular programming as shown with both mid and sntv :toofunny2:

I dreamt for some reason that one of the vault tracks is the 1989 title track and it samples 1999 by Prince :rip:

That's because this is somewhat true. She did originally record a “1989” title track that samples Prince's “1999” with the lyric “We're gonna party like its 1989”. Taylor never cleared the sample and/or Prince didn’t give her permission, so as a result it was omitted from the original album in 2014. However, since Prince and his family/estate know how important owning the rights to your own music is, some fans speculate she may have gotten permission to release the title track on Taylor’s Version.

okay so - like i said on twitter lol- the vault will be a hunt.

if you google taylor swift it gives you that riddle that you have to solve and it tells you to type your answer in the search box, atm the only riddle we have is the one that says "my name is taylor and i was born in..." and ofc we know that the answer is 1989 taylor's version, and in fact when you put your answer in, it takes you to that message that says "come back later etc" cause the other ones are still locked

Are there actual people that get that thing people posted on here? Cause I have yet to see anyone from IRL or this website get one.

Nope but Taylor knows I’m not a merch-buying Swiftie.

i got it!!! it starts with you searching for "taylor swift" then the vault appears and you have the "my name is taylor and i was born in..." as a clue.

you then type your answer  "1989 (taylor's version)" as a search and you then go to the page where the vault reappears and it says "come back soon"

so, technically nothing that we didn't know, since these two search results were known to have the vault thing, but i never got the chance to see it up to now, so maybe they were just waiting to make it available everywhere, not only us

You just made that up :kitty:

The "party like its 1989" trademark has nothing to do with song lyrics or a 1989 title track. It was registered for merch purposes: https://uspto.report/TM/86434764

Vox, citing legal database Justia, reports that Taylor Swift‘s legal team has trademarked the phrase “this sick beat” as well as “party like it’s 1989” and “cause we never go out of style,” all lyrics from her multimillion selling album 1989.

Interesting.

Girls, which variant did you get/are you getting?

The original blue, it’s perfect and one of my favorite covers she’s ever had. :clap3:

When I go to Target on release day to pick up a CD (like I did for the original 1989 :weeps:), I might buy the tangerine vinyl if it’s not already sold out.

I got it immediately when it first started popping and the main account were posting about it... but when I try to "answer" the question, nothing happens.
