Taylor Swift - '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

Also seeing how this is not a double album, I think the new songs will all be under 4 mins.

The Deluxe CD runs for 60 mins, which means that there's only 20 mins left of music to fill a standard 80 min CD.

I think the reason why she added the bonus song to the target vinyl is because it wouldn't fit in the CD, unless it was a double CD.

I hate her for what she did to Speak Now TV, but love her for what she’s doing to 1989 TV.

She will never let me know true peace.

had a dream where she dropped a bunch of stuff, including the performance of CS from the movie, an ep of random performances from the tour (random tracks and surprise songs), and a single vault song title from this, simply titled "The Hoe". internet was melting DOWN :rip:

Speak Now TV got a huge tour announcement, three vinyl variants, a whole photoshoot dedicated to it, the longest & most personal prologue out of all her albums, and a vault track music video. That album got a lot of good content. Swifties will forever be ungrateful.

I am usually the one to be optimistic (ie, I immediately knew Midnights would do 1M and Speak Now TV would outdo Red TV, etc) but I highly doubt this will take up the entire top 10 on the Hot 100. Even if the tracks somehow debuted better than Midnights on streaming, they won’t stay quite as stable, which is understandable because it’s a re-recording.

Only 1 song from Speak Now TV and Red TV went top 10, and 0 from Fearless TV. I wouldn’t be shocked if this could place, like, 5 (or more) in the top 10 though. That would be beyond huge.

I feel like she intended Speak Now to be the fan album with that long ass prolouge, she do love and proud of that album very much because its self written, but also want to keep it lowkey and connect with fans only. Also manage her level of exposure.

while 1989 is the GP massive album and she will go all out

Love is embarrassing would've been a cute vault track for 1989 :giraffe: (although the lyrics are not very Taylor). I'm going to need those pop bops from Taylor stat

and she couldn't have done it earlier? left them in the vault? im not gonna pretend i didnt see that speak now demo vinyl when she was playing with all her midnights variations. we were ROBBED. my dreams of owning all her albums (except non-tvs) signed are in shambles.

if she doesn't cough up 1989 signed copies there will be riots

yea, I think the entire top 10 is a lil bit of a reach just because of the difference in streaming across the week for re-released compared to new albums. I think the focus area is gonna be insane album sales

You’re Losing Me is one of her best songs :jonny:

She will probably do like 300k SPS (Speak Now did 209k, Midnights did 440k), 700k sales/preorders would be very achievable for her

Max’s current work being used to justify why he wasn’t asked to come back for re-records he originally produced nine years ago will always bewilder me

I mean tbh I never minded missing him from IKYWT or 22 TV and I haven't listened to the old versions since the TVs came out. So I don't think he's necessary. (That said, he was more central to 1989 than to Red)

She has already surpassed +800k pre-orders and that was basically Midnight's pre-order a week prior to release.

I think Shellback did good on the Red TV tracks (although I only use 22 TV). I still haven’t heard Wildest Dreams TV, but I trust the rerecords for 1989 TV will be good in his hands.

My point was moreso that I find it odd to say “Max hasn’t done anything good recently so we don’t need him for 1989 TV” when his current work has no effect on what he already did almost a decade ago :celestial4:

if the rerecords are good without Max, then we still stream and celebrate!

I was about to listen to it before the announcement theories caught on, but with it being this close, I’m just gonna wait! Hope the bridge gives me chills like it did the first time

Is that 800k figure including the Target exclusive pre-orders?
