I'm hoping for a variant with the standard cover but a pink disc similar to the RSD version of the original 1989. (I'm hoping this will release later like the lavender version of midnights)

The max Martin rerecordings might be the biggest stain on this whole venture. Show me a single MM song from RED that sounds remotely close to the original.... also WDtv sounds incredibly metallic compared to the warm original. There's just this dreamy-organic-warm sound that songs like WD, Clean, TL, OOTW, etc have on the original version that I'm afraid these quick re recordings won't be able to capture. 

 

I feel like Aaron should assist with whoever is producing each 1989 track to ensure that the organic dreamy sound of the original carries through the new one, he is the reason folklore also has that same charisma only 1989 has despite being two different genres.

They’re spreading out the sales. Wouldn’t be surprised if pink vinyl shows up on Wednesday and then all the alt cover CDs come back in a couple weeks.

Logic says that the more you spread the variants the bigger impact they make and therefore the more sales you get. I think the green one sold less than expected (specially after the yellow one sold +100k in a day), so they have decided to wait more this time.

 

Or maybe they were just waiting for the Mexico shows to end.
