Also, for anyone still wondering, an insider did confirm that the vault tracks for 1989 are not 'new' songs. Obviously they may have been tweaked and production may have changed since their original iteration but I believe they were all worked on during 1989.

 

I haven't listened to the BS snippet, but I have a feeling it's going to be a collapse just like the rest of this album. I genuinely cannot believe we're so close It has been so hard staying away from Style, BS, OOTW, IWYW, Clean, and the album in general. Cannot explain how excited I am to finally re-visit this record in less than a week! 

Yeah the 112 theory puts the next re-record on a Friday in February which is another tour break for her

1989 TV vaults can very well have scrapped Max Martin songs. 

With red the max Martin songs on the album were only 3. I think message in the bottle is the only Song was scrapped from the album and they already worked with the Song during the album process (reason max Martin is a co writer).

 

For 1989 i feel like all the max Martin songs are there when the album is 16 tracks long and She put a strong Song Song like new romantic in the Deluxe album .

 

Also i feel expect for a couple of songs like shake It off (and maybe style) all the songs produced and co written by Martin in the album are actually songs Taylor wrote alone and then martin Is credited cause It helped to complete lyrics, some major chord or melody change.

 

To say sl ut could have been a max martin Song if She would have decided to work on It for the album but if She didn't maybe he's not credited now.

Also i don't think 100K for a song even if it's true it's max martin payment it's something crazy, not only for Taylor but for an average successful popstar.

 

The real deal about money could be in the percentage of royalties he asks, there is where the money stays. 

I don't know what are for example Antonoff or Dessner percentage of royalties but for example if they ask for 30% while Martin asks for 50% the difference is way more than 100K dollars. If a song like Blank space in 10 years has generated  10M in royalties the difference between 50% and 30% are millions dollars, not only 100K. The real deal is there.

 

 

So if Taylor thinks she can write pop smashes even without Martin she will prefer the co writers ask for less money
