I have faith they’ll be able to recreate that same magic :clap3:

Yup. Her voice on the original was already emulating her deep vocals, the TV will be good.

The worries are Style and Blank Space. Her younger vocals were PERFECT.

I usually play albums in their entirety (or close to it) and not through playlists or cherry picking songs so I'll always go for the TV over the OG since the entire album experience no longer feels complete without the vault tracks. I can't imagine creating an amalgamation of OG and TV tracks into one album, that truly feels insane given how much her voice has changed. It would not be a cohesive listening experience. :deadbanana2: The TV tracks range from truly superior to simply serviceable for me, I don't think any of them are actually bad.

In celebration of 3 weeks before the album is released, let's rank her past albums

  1. 1989
  2. folklore
  3. red
  4. speak now
  5. midnights
  6. evermore
  7. lover
  8. reputation
  9. fearless
  10. taylor swift

We can also rank the tracks on fearless taylor's version this week, rank red taylor's version next week, rank speak now taylor's version the week of release and then after 1989 taylor's version we can rank all the tracks and then do a megarank again

I also like State Of Grace OG better because her youthful voice fits the anthemic production better imo.

the taste jumps out

red is all about emotions, so the OG ones are much better imo, but the last time and a few other tracks actually are much better sonically, not emotionally

Am I the only one who thinks IKYWT TV is MUCH better than og? It just hits harder :jonny6:

I could write an essay on why IKYWT is the worst rerecording. :celestial5:

WANEGBT is the only re-recording that’s been botched imo, the others are all, as you said, superior to simply serviceable.

Good luck recreating THAT for the better.

Or this godly instrumental :jonny2: I wonder if at least Ali Payami was brought back from the dead for the TV of this cuz it sounds mostly like his involvement

Why couldn’t she just re-recorded using the instrumentals with her new vocals

who would’ve known no one

I assume the entire song needs to be reconstructed in order for it to count as a re-recording

I honestly have a tough time with ranking her work because her albums are so distinct and they hit differently based on my mood, the season, life situations, etc. It's also all very personal taste, etc.

I mean it probably wouldn't be legal and would defeat the entire purpose but :gaycat7:

Judging by the 2 TV tracks already released, I'm gonna assume the rest of the tracks will be the same length as the stolen version (maybe 1-2 seconds off).

Do y'all think S l U T will be the single or she'll chose another one?
