While I enjoy all of them, I don't see them making big moves therefore, I also don't see much changing for Normani... One of her new managers, Lydia Asrat, managed Doja Cat during Hot Pink and Planet Her eras. She might actually be in good hands 4

We miss you The announcement is ofcourse great news and has been brewing for some time. She's definitely ready but clearly doesn't need any missteps and took care of business first. Something I want y'all to be mindful of is that Normani's success will not reflect the other artists on the radar. They are all in different places in their careers and she's in a very different place than all of them. She's got the best of both worlds. Now we wait for a proper announcement of Candy Paint. 1
popularmoonlight Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 They seem good enough to me if she's actually releasing music. Doja was every where the last couple of years, Coco has been doing good I guess, Charli and Troye are both having hits right now. Normani needs to release music if she wants to see any change. 1
livelikemusic Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 This is a good sign, and look forward to finally getting some music.
liquiddiamonds Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 I thought management had very little influence in labels issues. I think this will only impact her public persona, booked gigs and advertising. When she hires a good lawyer for that record deal I’ll believe new music might come

I just meant in terms of visibility and promotional opportunities/brand partnerships. But then again, she's relatively new, so I can't be too harsh, I guess. I was mostly thinking of how Normani would need to make a BIG splash if she wanted to have a place in the music industry, especially after being on "hiatus" for so long...and I'm not exactly sure if this management will help her. But I will remain optimistic. 1
Stellar1103 Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Good for Normani!! Looking forward to new music!
stjosephprey4us Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Good luck booking that horizon you speak of
loveisdead9582 Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 I’m afraid it might be too late. The GP has lost all interest. A shame since she had real potential.

They did get her a Cardi cameo and then feat at a peak of hers Brandon Silverstein, in partnership with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Anitta was another client of Brandon Silverstein, she also left him in July He/ Roc Nation in general was good in securing brand deals/ sponsorship deals for their talents (and that's probably where the management company makes the most money from). However their management of talents' actual music career is a different story. 2

Consistently at that that is literally better than anything her previous management was doing. 1

She got those things on her own merit, he was useless. Kollin wasn’t working with Normani to back then lol. Cardi just picked Normani out the blue for the WAP cameo. But the Wild Side part was Kollin, yes. - A couple of you in here are acting like S10/Brandon did nothing when that’s not true. He did A LOT 2018 -2019 especially in the area of getting her high profile studio sessions with any producer she could dream of (he had connections with a lot of them and obviously used her growing brand name), endless magazine shoots, etc. I just think Brandon made a lot of mistakes and lazy decisions at times especially after he got Anitta signed to the roster, he just seemed to not care what Normani was doing after that point. Overall, Normani will be in better hands with Lydia who’s a proven hard worker. She did great with Doja 2017 - 2022 (when Vegas dropped). And joint management is good, now she has more of a machine behind her than Brandon and his random vacations. Spoiler (Also Lydia is amazing with Coco Jones. Coco actually is taken serious in music despite being primarily an actress in her career and now she’s on Grammys’ shortlists for next year for multiple awards. Please don’t look at her chart success alone because she makes traditional r&b for the most part which isn’t that popular these days. Coco been booked like CRAZY too). EDIT: Brandon Creed also co-managed Lizzo when she blew up 2019. These two mangagers have something in common and it’s not a coincidence Normani wanted both. She’s a lot more in-tune with what went wrong with her music career 2019 - 2020+ and is about to correct the timeline (we hope). Edited August 8, 2023 by Flare 2 1
