ALA Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 I find Jason Statham really sexy so I'll still see it I bet it'll be stupid fun
JungleJuice Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 I ignore critic reviews and will be watching and making my own review. I think ol skip 4dx since it was annoying af during haunted mansion last night 1
onapearl Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 So far it's only professional film critic reviews, and those people tend to be really pretentious. I've learned over the past several years to not pay attention to critic reviews and instead wait for opinions from the general public.
wantedyoutogrow Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 well, i'll probably still go watch it with friends this weekend
Johnny Jacobs Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Omg i actually loved the first one ngl. I will probably see this one in theaters too. My boyfriend loves those kind of movies and thwy usually are entertaining. Critics aint **** when it comes to reviewing action movies.
HASHTAGPOW Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 I want to watch this. Sharks, camp, fun - we need it
JungleJuice Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) I just came back from this. Really cool movie. Wish I did 4dx but it's a rent check :/. Great film great photography. Trench is where the dinos are at yall 🦕 really awesome action scenes and reallu seeing submarine stuff these days brings extra tension. I liked it. Noisy af theater kids would not shut up until an usher came and shhed the obnoxious teens. Anyways it's aite. Great movie of the week. I'd dish out for the 4dx. I love watching underwater scenes because it really captures the feeling of being underwater well. Edited August 4, 2023 by JungleJuice 3
TrueBlood Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Came here for the Metacritic score of MEG(han) Trainor album, guess I got confused.
Innocencelost Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 It was no better and no worse than the first one

Johnny Jacobs Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 the first one was so much better!! it was cute - entertaining because of the 4d and action but it was nothing more my boyfriend liked it but said the same.
popmusicisdead Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 i can't believe this was by the same director of Kill List
Sweetestsecret Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 $320M on box office https://www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt9224104/ a hit .
zasderfght Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 I didn't care for the first movie, so I'm not surprised the sequel had even worse reviews. Is it just me or do you guys wait until movies hit streaming? With how expensive going to the movies is, the movie you want to see will probably be on Max/Peacock 2-3 months after its theatrical release (sometimes sooner). And it's better. I save gas. I save the money of my ticket. I can re-watch/pause/rewind the movie. I can always go back to it. And I have an OLED 4K HDR 65 inch TV, so the picture is really, really nice. Also, I saw Insidious 5 recently, and there was a child two seats from mine who would not stop talking. Granted, this was a Friday afternoon showing. I feel like no one has respect for going to see movies in theaters anymore, and even with memberships like A-List, with how expensive the economy is, who is going to spend nearly $25/month, gas going to the movies, at least $12-15 (sometimes even up to $20) for at least one adult, when you can pay $9.99 for a Max subscription and wait a few months to stream the movie from the comfort of your home?
