jakeisphat Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I've watched twice. This movie always leaves me h-word 1
bluceleste Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I found it the mix of quirky funny dialogue with creepy thriller vibes a bit jarring. I could have lived without the twist at the end. 1
worldwide angel Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 this was a fun watch and overall a great film but i do agrih with the other posters that believe the film had the potential to be excellent classic on the dancefloor
shyboi Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 IS IT GEWD OR NOT? i'm stuck tonight at my parents house and I want to watch a decent movie should i watch or not?
sunbathinganimal Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 I liked this but didn't love it, Rosamund Pike you will always be famous 1
Cheers Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 I just finished watching this!! OMG! It was great! I loved it. I wasn't bored at all. What a great film! The TikToks about being "traumatized" are so dramatic tho lmao
Maroonx Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 I rly enjoyed the movie, the final dance scene was great
shyboi Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 there were a lot of scenes that I wish I could unsee, but very good movie overall
killer_rose Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 (edited) Hardly anything shocking or inventive. The cinematography was gorgeous but the plot... basically a boring version of Ready or Not without the all the bang and shock value. Edit: Actually just realized this is basically The Talented Mr. Ripley for Gen Z. Edited December 31, 2023 by killer_rose 2
Leptine Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I was expecting a total different movie, I thought this was about a proper gay relationship between the main two leads, however overall it was still very enjoyable. Visually was amazing with great shots and photography, the cast was amazing as well, the script was the weakest part as pointed out already, seen tones of times in other movies and tv shows, the twist was too much predictable, I do agree that they should have went lot more far with an overall shock value and making the main twist more unexpected involving maybe other characters. So yeah this could have been a much better memorable movie with a better script, the ingredients were all there. Loved the final scene (not just for the nudity).
X~MoviePoP Posted January 2 Posted January 2 THIS IS MY FAVE MOVIE THIS YEAR. THE BOTTOMING SCENE!?!?!
Leptine Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Still obsessed with the final dance nude scene @The Witch 2

Dante Silva Posted January 3 Posted January 3 This is the film that’s causing Americans to discover Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Murder On The Dancefloor” 20+ years after the fact? 4
Cheers Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Did you guys peep the "Doppelganger" scene? This movie had so many hints in it especially some supernatural hints
Konril Posted January 3 Posted January 3 This is my Babylon for 2023 (well second after Beau Is Afraid) where I was conflicted if I thought it was great right when the movie ended but after gathering some thoughts, I reckon I absolutely love it. Gorgeously shot, incredibly acted. Pike got me laughing with her delivery and I wanted to see more of Mulligan. I've only seen 2 films where Barry starred in: Banshees of Inisherin and The Killing of a Sacred Deer of which he was stellar in both and it got me cackling that this movie enters the Multiverse of not letting Keoghan inside your house. The only qualms I have is the final act. It's not necessarily a twist but it was clearly obvious what led to all of this. Something about Fennel closing her story doesn't quite stick the landing for me just like with Promising Young Woman, granted the dancing ending scene was great though. I can understand if people hated this but personally, this is one of my favorite movie of 2023. 3
