I low key feel bad for Swifties on this forum. In five to ten years Taylor won't be doing the same numbers and will be experiencing a decline or have already declined by that point. This doesn’t make sense. 
Of course Taylor won’t be equally massive in the future like she is now since decline is normal process of being so much popular, but that wouldn’t invalidate everything she had done, so I don’t underdtand point of “lashings”. It’s not like anyone says that Taylor will remain huge forever.

OTHs on this site are WAY more insufferable than Swifties could ever be and it's not even close. The way you guys want to entirely discredit Taylor in every way possible is just pathological. If anything Swifties aren't nasty enough

Both were annoying but Monsters were entertaining at least. Everyone knew (including most of the Monsters) that they were serving delusions. Gaga was the top ***** back them so everyone had a stake. Her haters want her to fall (and she did). Her supporters want her to succeed (and numerous of them jumped ship, the real ones stayed). There was always a sense of irony and ridiculousness during the stan wars then which is why Applause vs Roar was such an entertaining, stan classic thread/feud despite it being a contested rivalry. Everyone was in on the joke.

 

Swifties on the other hand (atleast online) have no sense of humor and are borderline vile. They are annoying in a sense that they would insert Taylor in any convo for no apparent reason and would often use the “feminism” or “race” card ironically despite some of them doing the things against those principles. They take everything seriously which is riduculous considering her success. Its sad considering that the Swifties I know irl are very chill, likes other artists and can actually criticize her from time to time like a true friend. In an event that she meets her Applause vs Roar moment, I can guarantee that it would not be as entertaining as the Applause v Roar did, it would be ugly af. Swifties would defend her to the death as if their life depended on it while her haters would unleash a huge amount of vitriol that has been kept lid these past few years.

Even if Taylor just suddenly lost all her popularity tomorrow she would still be one of the most succesful and admired female artists of all time. She has nothing else to prove in the music industry.

Tbh there’s a bit of truth to this. I wouldn’t say it’s “most”, but take a look at the Taylor Base or her album threads in the Music section and then take a look at the OPs of those nonsensical threads made in Base. Strangely enough, those are not the same users.

If Taylor ever flops she’ll still be the best selling female artist in soundscan history. It would take quite a few million refunds to change that.
