I'm not worked up. Getting hate and hating are different things. Getting hate is used colloquially to mean getting negativity. Most people sending negativity don't actually hate.

Pls back in May I saw a Tiktok of someone posting about how to get Beyoncé's disco cowboy hat. And the swifties broke their converse running into the comments saying they themselves made the hat trendy so it should be called the Eras hat  Unprovoked, never mentioned, yet always there to everyone's distaste.

You are making conclusions based on circumstantial situations/isolated cases?

as someone who has been around since 2009, it's easily the Monsters.  At least the Swifties have the receipts to back up their outrageous claims.  That being said, there is one fanbase that was even worse than these two, and that's......the Mariah stans pre-2010.  It was literally exhausting between 2005-2010, and when she flopped with that Foreigner cover, and even moreso the album debuting at #3 behind Barbara, 95% of them boardicided and vanished.  They were psychotic.

At least Gaga gave the Monsters a lot to brag about - music, fashion, Pfizer. Now it's just Swifties bragging about Taylor's numbers repetitively

They were just hated because other fanbases were jealous of their favs imperial period stomping and making their favs seem small and irrelevant.

The good news was that little monsters started wars with everyone. It was easy for the Kats to ally with everyone like how 54 countries are supporting Ukraine militarily.

 

Once E.T. pushed BTW down from #1 in April 2011, gaga emergency released singles, music videos,... in the hope to get noticed and stay somehow relevant with the GP. The GP said no to dance pop and Adele changed the sound on the radios.

 

One of my war aims was dividing the enemy population by 4 times and we achieved that in 2 years time (2011-2013). Such a quick war is unprecedented in pop history, it is common to see rivalries going 30+ years without a victory, Metallica vs Iron Maiden, metalheads vs punks (metal snobs preferring professionalism, playing the instruments properly vs punk slobs preferring attitude over professionalism, skills, talent),...

 

A large part of the monsters vs Kats war was about monsters finding ways to cope with the decline. In 2011 they attacked the Hive during the 4 era because another big name has declined at least as much as their fave. They look for targets that might have fallen as low than their fave to claim some sense of superiority to feel good.

 

The monsters play victim by pretending that nothing else happened before 2013 and were jumped by all the bases coming out of nowhere.

Why are Kats forever stuck in 2013, there one moment of victory? 

 

This just goes to show every single fan base will act insufferable when their favs are winning. Gaga was just winning more than usual in her peak era (2008-2011) and Taylor has been winning even longer (2014-2023)

I don't mind the 2011 Little Monsters. Madonna opened those reductive flood gates. They were just defending their fave. 

 

It's the 2023 Little Monsters who act like 2011 Madonna fans that irk me. 

 

2023 Swifties are not there yet. Hopefully they never get there. It does Taylor a disservice. I believe she is a good person.
