Especially with all the copying accusations to anyone who wore anything avant garde. Like high fashion was becoming more accessible across the board with all the designer h&m/collaborations.

Well a lot of the annoying swifties used to be little monsters who jumped ship because they basically only stan stats

Up to 1989, Swifties were sweet but then all hell broke loose in 2016/2017 (Joanne flopping and Monsters joining Taylor fanbase)

Swifties now for sure. Obnoxious, especially with the need to force-feed the notion that Taylor is the GOAT every single second.

Oh no. I was more of a little monster in 2011 and now I would consider myself more a swiftie. 

 

I would however say swifties are more annoying now than little monsters were in 2011.

The Little Monsters will always be the #1 most insufferable. Nothing can be the arrogance and viciousness towards Katy, Britney, Nicki, etc during that time coming from them. There's a reason why EVERY single fanbase was celebrating ARTPOP's opening week sales being less than PRISM and Bangerz at the time.

This is really hard. I will say Gaga was way more fun at her peak than Taylor is now or ever was. Far be it from me to defend early 2010s little monsters but at least they had an interesting, talented fave serving bop singles and camp left and right, if not always quality or originality. Liddos also were way funnier back then. Swifties have no sense of humor.

My theory is that Taylor basically replaced Harry Potter as the widely beloved cultural entity now that Terf Rowling is persona non grata, and swifties behave like Harry Potter stans… which is something people are not accustomed to seeing amongst music fans.
