im not an insider or anything like that, just judging from the info we have:

-all 4 girls posted about group anniversary (a hint for fans that they’re not disbanding)

-Jisoo said there’s ’more to come’ or something like that 

-no feuds between members 

-new single scheduled for release 

-tour extension

-no rumours of new deal with other company or solo managers etc. usually at a time like this the info leaks before it’s confirmed, or a celeb is photographed going for dinner with a businessman etc.

 

it’s definitely possible for YG to extend tour and release music against their wishes but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

I want them to re-sign and just release more music. A 2 year wait is fine but not for 8 songs. If they released an album every other year with 10+ songs and 2 solo/sub-unit EPs (as in 4 songs, YG) in-between I'd be content. We'd get more to consume while the girls still wouldn't overworked music-wise and can peruse their other passions. Shorten tours too if it's too stress inducing for the girls. That's my perfect outcome tbh.

separate and together makes the most sense tbh... YG is never going push their solo careers. Lisa was at the brink of exploding with Money similar to Olivia and Billie did but they fumbled so bad. Rosé.... good luck getting another solo when all their focus will be on promoting their new "global" boy and girl groups next year.

I really hope none of these girls are stupid enough to renew. Just take a look at CL’s career, she had the same potential to blow up solo as these girls and YG completely locked her up to focus on new groups.
